I am setting up a newsletter which will go to my five hundred contacts every day. can I download mozilla thunderbird, and will it be acceptable to do so with that email using another platform email marketing platform? My list has given me permission (signed up) for this, there is no cold emails, but they are forwarded on for several generations, from one person to all their contacts, to theirs ,and on and on. Would this be permissible with thunderbird? I thank you for your attention to this matter.

This is not a Thunderbird issue. It sounds like you have an agreement with a mailing system such as MailChimp and plan to compose messages in Thunderbird? That causes no issue, as the mailing is actually done by the mailing vendor. You would only have difficulty if you were mailing directly from your email host to these people, as that would cause your messages to quickly be categorized as spam. Did I understand your question? If not, please give more info. In the past, I have run several mailing lists with Thunderbird to compose the messages.
