How to completely disable search in address bar and only have it in search bar.

more options

I am studying web development and need to be able to enter localhost and a port number into the address bar and have the browser use it. Instead I get search results. This is SOOOOO annoying. I tried putting the search bar separate in the options, but that just gets you 2 search bars, which makes zero sense. Is there a way to change this behavior? I am completely frustrated. I don't want to have to go back to Chrome, the horrible resource hog, to complete my classes because I can't even run an emulator if I'm using it.

Firefox, Windows 10 64-bit.

Hi, I'm telling you that your problem has nothing to do with your product. You may be misspelling your localhost address.
