Hello,

I successfully installed TB over a year ago and yesterday started the process to update the program to the current version. I get a message "Setup - Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of TB. Reboot or restart the PC."

I've tried several times...either restarting or rebooting...and keep getting the same message over and over. I went to the Windows 10 app area and tried to remove TB to start over but get the same message when I try to remove TB. No joy.

What next?

Regards,

Monty

Something did not get updated correctly, I have known this to occur if another update, usually a Windows OS update, happened to occur at the same time, so things got confused.

Exit Thunderbird - if running. Thunderbird will be installed in this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird

Delete that 'Mozilla Thunderbird' folder. Then empty the computer 'Recycle Bin'

Get a fresh download from here - choosing prefered language and Windows OS version. https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/

It will probably get downloaded to your 'Downloads' folder, click on the downloaded file to install.
