Search: Using multiple wikipedia search engines, they get deleted again and again

Hi. I don't know what it is but for whatever reason from time to time (probably caused by updates) all but one of my added wikipedia search engines (searching different languages) get deleted. Is there a way to tell Firefox not to do this? Or, when there's none, could anybody please change this? Now? I've dealt with this for years and it annoyed me to no end and today's the day I'm gonna change something about it.

As far as I can tell, this shouldn't generally be happening. I'm assuming you are adding these from the "Add Search Engine" option when you are on the website.

Which version of Linux are you using?

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I do use the »add search engine« option. Right now I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.4 with the budgie environment, but I had the same problem when I was using Ubuntu 18 and 16 in the default environment, and I'm kinda sure I noticed it on Windows 7 or 10, too, before switching to Ubuntu in 2017.

Thank you for the information. I don't have any quick response or fix at the moment, but I'll take a look and see if I can see anything. Hopefully tomorrow, but if not it might be a week or so.

Dear users, with the latest update all but one of my wikipedia search engines got deleted again. I'm guessing there's somewhere a rule that checks for duplicates and for some reason doesn't recognize the language-subdomains for wikipedia.org. But I can't be the only one using wikipedia in different languages?

If anybody has any idea where to post this or whom to contact with this so it gets addressed, that would be awesome. Thank you very much.
