Do you mean Firefox only has 10 tabs on the tab bar, or Firefox has 13 tabs on the tab bar, but three of the pages in those tabs didn't load?
One reason Firefox might not start up with your home tabs is if Firefox performs an automatic crash recovery and opens tabs from your last session. Can you tell whether that might be happening in any of these cases?
I have 13 tabs set for automatic Home page tabs in settings. 3 did not open this time. Last 2 days they ALL opened but for the last month or so the tabs were not working except SOMETIMES the first tab opens up. its very intermittent. I thought since i had a record 2 days of perfect opening, i thought it was fixed but still intermittent. have not changed anything.
I cannot tell if it was a crash recovery. Normally if that happens, i get a msg...very rarely...
Note that Firefox may try to recover automatically from a crash or improper shutdown as set by this pref on the about:config page. A value of zero will always show the Session Restore window.
- browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes
Sorry i'm not a techie. Cannot find about:config under TOOLS and anywhere there??? went to HELP in ABOUT also...???
Please be more specific. THanks
ALso another day home tabs NOT opening except the first one.
Modified
Here are full steps for making that setting change:
One way to determine whether it's a crash recovery from Firefox's perspective is to switch from automatic post-crash restore to showing the page that gives you the option to restore after a crash. Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste sess and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes preference to display a dialog, edit 1 to 0 (that's a zero), then click OK
today only the first 2 tabs opened up. the other 11 can see the title of the websites on the top tabs but won't open.

Those 11 tabs are blank and Reload doesn't do anything?
I don't know why that would happen.
If you launch a new window, for example by pressing Ctrl+n, do you get the same problem?
They all opened up with control N this time...will continue to test. Never used control N before. Thanks

Another possible thing to try, in the original window, is clicking the Home button on the toolbar, or using the keyboard shortcut Alt+Home. That might refresh all the home tabs (or it might double them, not sure).
Hmm, maybe Firefox is doing something else during startup, or running into a problem during startup, so it stops loading those tabs. But that's just speculation, I don't remember seeing the problem in past threads.
OH control N is a good fix for me if home tabs don't work.
HOME i've used. and it works also but doubles... Control N good !
Control N still working great!! Thanks! But Home tabs still not opening
