"A Web Page is slowing down your browser, What do you want to do? [Stop It] [Wait]"

LENOVO NOTEBOOK, WINDOWS 10.

It locks the browser, pops-up constantly, never stops.... The internet as lots of FF users with this issue and lots of "fixes" that do not fix. I have went back to v58-63 and results are the same. It basically makes FF not worth using even though I go back to FF v1.03. I have had to resort to Microsoft Edge [UGGGG]. I have run McAfee [Total Protection] many times, Malwarebytes many times but it keeps popping up. It appears on FF as a "yellow toolbar" at the bottom of the toolbar band [see attachment]. There is maybe another issue associated with it.

"freak out tabs". For no reason, 2 -3,4 tabs will "battle" with each other and alternately becoming active so fast one can not close neither of them and I have to exit the entire page and reload. Seems like Malware, some sick A$$ playing with us for using FF..

Next am going to try to delete ALL TRACES of FF. I can un-install but know that will not remove all traces so I can start over.

Any one know of an app/program that can WIPE FF off my PC.

  • about:config > dom.ipc.processHangMonitor > false.
  • about:config > dom.ipc.reportProcessHangs > false.

”Webpage is slowing down your browser” This is the new way the browser tells you there is a problem with the script program(s). https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-script?cache=no

Can you say for SURE this is a "legal" FF response and not a virus, ,malware, etc? Or, does FF actually put out this toolbar response?

Why I ask is: After about 13-14 years using FF, [version 1.0] this week this message shows up for the first time and now about every 5-30 sec. It never stops regardless of the PC speed.

We could solve it easier if we knew it was a valid FF message in a new release. IF we know for sure is a valid FF message,

My PC is NOT RUNNING slower, it is he "message" slowing it down...

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
