Is there a way to split a tab in two or more areas with different opened pages?

I want to open two or more pages at the same time on the same screen without opening other windows. Vivaldi, for example, has such a feature, not sure of other browsers. I've tried to find an add-on too, no luck either. The new Side View feature of Firefox is almost what I want, but it is something more like a side panel and not a properly screen split. Is there any thing like that on Firefox, even with an add-on? (If unsure, please check this feature on Vivaldi.)

Hi, this maybe what you are looking for. It is still in testing and my make to a future release : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/side-side/

I do not see anywhere it is not for Linux.
