I'm using Firefox on Linux/Ubuntu

a couple of days ago I had an issue: - the bookmarks are all in place - chronology is there - url autocompletion is missing - the bar with the more used sites was empty.

The same day I installed Firefox on my Android phone and I synced it (all but password) with desktop one. I don't have any clue that is charge of what happened but it has to said.

How can I bring back my autocompletion?

Thanks

This feature is known as omnibox and is toggle-able in the about:config

It can be toggled back on (off by default for privacy reasons) by setting browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled to true and re-attempting.

Thanks but it was already enabled.

But it was a good hint. I looked all the browser.urlmap.* and I found two that of those were saying "modified" I replaced the default values, but the omnibox doesn't seem to work.
