If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes. If you do not see the number going down on the page, you can reload it using Ctrl+r to check progress.
History
I doubt that you need to clear your entire history. If you open the Library dialog and put part of the site address in the search box at the upper right, you can display matches for that site and just delete those. To open the dialog, either:
- Ctrl+Shift+h
- History menu > Show All History
