why do my tabs dissapear?

I am doing research, open a tab and while I am looking at or filling out blanks, the tab disappears. I have reinstalled firefox, I love firefox, but I can't work with this bug. How do I prevent it. I have tried to log in several times and had trouble. Is there something wrong with my account?

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Note: if Firefox is causing that much trouble, use another browser while we work together to fix this.
