I keep getting error messages when I try to go to sites I use daily.
Hey --
Thanks in advance for having a look at this problem.
Earlier today I kept getting error messages when I tried any of the sites I use on a daily basis: eBay & My Yahoo. I kept getting the "Problem Loading Site" message -- of various kinds. I tried over and over, and even had problems accessing Firefox Help. Finally I clicked on "Refresh Firefox" and all seems OK now, so far. the problem is that all my add-ons are gone, especially the ones I installed a few weeks ago to increase my security, as suggested in your e-mail to me on September 30, linking to the site:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collections/mozilla/privacy/
Now, I really like those add-ons, and had installed most of them, but am now wondering if one or several of them were causing my problems with all the error messages earlier today. Before I re-install any of those add-ons, I'd like to know more abut them -- especially since the error messages have been cropping up with some regularity since I installed them, though it was only today that those error messages became a real obstacle.
All the best, and thanks again --

Thanks again for all the suggestions. All continues fine – I was only keeping this open for a bit to see how things worked out.
If all problems like this require is a periodical refresh of Firefox, it's all doable.
I'll re-open this if there are any more problems.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.
Along the way you should remove the older of the two versions of Shockwave Flash that you have.
Hey --
Thanks to you both for getting back to me so quickly on this.
First, ever since I did the "Refresh Firefox", the problem has cleared up.
Second, I've re-added Ghostery, No Script, Better Privacy, Self-Destructing Cookies, and Lightbeam. All continues to work fine, and I'll be re-adding a few more from the Get Smart on Privacy collection.
I take it nobody thinks any of the add-ons from that collection might have been contributing to this problem?
All the best, and thanks again --

No way to know unless the problem comes back.

Sounds good. One thing. If the problem returns, create a new question.
