How do I retrieve all my bookmarks, passwords, old emails, address book, etc., for Firefox and Thunderbird after Windows Installation Refresh

Earlier this week, my computer went wonky, and tech support figured out it was a problem with my Windows OS. They had me Refresh (not Recover) my Windows 8.1 installation, and told me I wouldn't lose any data, even though I would have to reinstall all my software. Well, my documents and other such files were saved. I was hoping, though, that my Firefox and Thunderbird bookmarks, passwords, emails, address book, etc., would also be saved, but I can't find them. Is there anyway to reconstitute them?

Hi, you can try this for Firefox bookmarks only: Open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Restore, and see if you have a backup there.

If not, and for other data, please see -

I can't help with Thunderbird, but this should point you in the right direction. In particular, see Profiles - Where Thunderbird stores your messages and other user data.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
