My first question ever to support: WIndows 7 - Firefox 32.0.2 - Laptop without touch screen or touch pad (mouse and keyboard only) I have found lots of ways to Zoom on a page. However, zoom always anchors to the top left. I would really love to zoom to the position of the mouse pointer. Usually I am focused on a specific piece of the content and not the whole page. Is this possible? Thanks everyone.

If your mouse is three button, click the middle button on the page. The mouse will now scroll the page as it moves.

You can also use the scroll bars on the page. They should come up when needed.

Thanks for the heads-up on the shockwave update. Done. I don't have a three button mouse but my center wheel clicks. This brings up the scroll functionality as you suggest. However, I'm looking to zoom. I appreciate the help.

Have you tried using the Magnifier in Win7?

Yes, and thank you for your help. There are many ways to zoom in and out. Let me offer a scenario to help clarify: Say I'm using an IDE in a webinar to teach coding. To demonstrate a specific function and its syntax I want to zoom into the code specifically to the focus point of that one string of code. If zooming brings into view the top left of the page, and not the string I'm pointing at, then I must scroll after zooming to get to the right part of the page. I hope that this clarifies my question.

hello, i don't think that this is possible currently (or that there are any addons that would provide this functionality). however, it sounds like a nifty feature though when you use the gestures involving the mouse to zoom - you might want to file an enhancement bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org about that...

I created an account on bugzilla and filed a Feature Request bug. Thanks for the suggestion.
