Dear Mozilla Support Team, I am reporting a security concern regarding my Mozilla account. I received two emails from Mozilla indicating account activity that I did not initiate. The notifications showed a login/account access attempt from a Windows 10 device in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, on Monday, 27 July 2026. I did not perform this login or authorise anyone else to access my account. I am concerned that someone may have gained access to my account without my permission, and I would like to understand how this happened and what steps I should take to secure my account. Please help me with the following: Confirm whether the login activity was successful or only an attempt. Provide any available details about the access (such as device, location, or method used). Advise me on additional steps to protect my account. I have already changed my password and will enable two-factor authentication if it is not already active. Account email id: gpriyanka590@gmail.com I can provide screenshots of the security emails if required. Thank you for your assistance. Kind regards, Priyanka

Hi The latest update 153.0 (64-bit) has a problem with setup geolocation. Previously, it was possible to change the location through (geo.provider.network.url), but after the update, when sharing the location, it asks for permission to share the device's location ( Grant Firefox location permission in system settings ) not the browser's location. If turn off location sharing in the settings, it stops location sharing completely. Is there a way to get this feature back like it used to be? Thank you

I'm blaming the latest Firefox update from a couple of days ago, since this problem only arose yesterday. Now cut off from reading and following news that I really want to receive.

This is what I get when trying to access links within a few of the websites that I regularly access for links to articles it posts:

The site ahead may contain harmful programs

Firefox blocked this page because it might try to trick you into installing programs that harm your browsing experience (for example, by changing your homepage or showing extra ads on sites you visit).

When I enter "windband.org" into the URL box, Firefox 153.0, 64-bit on new Windows 11 system delivers the webpage of "videncorporation.com". This does not happen if the entry is "http://windband.org". Windband.org does not have a security certificate. If the request is "windband.org/oldtowne". the webpage is properly returned.

As of yesterday, I have a message on Inspire.com which says Opt-Out Signal Honored It even says that before I log in. They are checking at their end, can you please help me? This is the only website that I receive this message.

Also, I am receiving more and more pop-ups that say WARNING SECURITY RISK "Be careful. Something doesn’t look right."

"Firefox spotted a potentially serious security issue with tracenep.bidprism.com. Someone pretending to be the site could try to steal things like credit card info, passwords, or emails." Some are websites I use, some are not. I don't remember adding this to my list or changing any of my extension settings. Please Help.

Thank you very much.

Hello all, I have FF 152.0.6 in use on Fedora 43 xfce Qubes OS VMs. The only issue I have encountered is when I try to load the web UI for Proxmox Datacenter Manager. As soon as I log in to the web UI Firefox vanishes. I have tried this in troubleshooting mode with the same results. I can open the same web UI in a Debian 13 Qube and it works perfectly. The FF version there is v.140.13.0esr. These are simply the default versions that come with Qubes 4.3 templates. I can also access the web UI in the original Fedora Qube with Chromium browser with no crash. I have also tried a different Fedora qube with the same failure result as the original.

I can use Chromium but would prefer a streamlined experience with just one browser. I thank all of you in advance any thoughts or suggestions. I am a long time Firefox and Mozilla user.

Have a great day. SS

I am using Firefox on Linux Ubuntu 26.04. I normally work with multiple tabs. Then I quit Firefox with all tabs open at the point of quitting. Some times on the rare occasion there can be a forced quit due to some issues. In my settings I have configured it not to open the previous tabs. In fact I want a blank page. But whenever I reopen Firefox, it opens those tabs and tries to reload which is annoying. Some of these pages take a long time to reload, and why would I want to look at tabs which I already have read. Or if it crashes due to some website on a tab why reopen something that crashed in the place ? Can you fix this. Thanks.
