I'm receiving threats & reports of virus's, reports of me watching porn? That's SICK! I WOULD NEVER do that! I had it happen over a year ago, traced it back to a Guardi something. They may have come back! They are disruptive, aggressive & cruel! I'm an 86 yo, disabled widow & I am very concerned!

Regarding the new built in Firefox VPN. If I have Tabs open and Enable the VPN on a New Tab, does it then affect all previously opened Tabs, only the New Tab, only the New Tab and Tabs opened after that initial New Tab, or ? Also, is there a Meter Display or similar so I know how much of the 50GB VPN allotment has been used or is remaining ? Thank you, very kindly ...-- J V

When I open Firefox, the profile I open with will open perfectly normally to version 153.0.4 and says it is up to date. However, if I open a different profile, that one will say it "Firefox is being updated by another instance". I can quit the app and change which profile I open first, and that profile will be 'up to date', and the other one will be 'being updated'.

I already went through quitting all pending tasks in task manager and restarting my device, as well as deleting and redownloading the app. This is really slowing down my processing speed while I work! Please help. I really don't want to lose my profiles.

How can the Firefox VPN start automatically at startup? The instructions say open VPN, click settings, then click settings, but I cannot find where is "connect VPN on startup."

You installed without my permission the Microsoft web app. That is spyware that has cost you this user. I will uninstall Firefox, tell everyone I know what you 'security-minded' liars are really doing to us. I belong to a gaming club with hundreds of members and by tonight they will all know not to trust Firefox. You really have some nerve teaming up with that nasty organization. Tonight when I launched Firefox, I started getting everything opening in a new window, rather than a new tab, which is what I have indicated in settings and have always had before. Even if I drag a tab from a new window to a previous window, I cannot close the tab. All I can do is close the window.

so when I'm watching a video in a diff tab then navigate to a new tab, what appears to happen is a search box attached to the previous tab pops in that I cannot type into, but clicking the "go back to active tab" button in the seach box brings me back to my previous tab. pretty annoying and would like to figure out what the heck is doin this

When opening a new page in Firefox I am shown a few widgets.

It shows the time of sports events and different timezones. But it shows this in a non-local time format - the 12 hour format (so it says 06:00 PM instead of 18:00).

In about:config I found a setting called "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.widgets.clocks.hourFormat" but what are the acceptable formats to use here? It's not a boolean value, and by default nothing is there. I tried writing 24, HH:mm, and some other things, but didn't notice a difference.

My tabs from a Windows 10 PC were imported to Firefox running on my Mac Studio ( OS is Tahoe ver 26.2). How do I easily recover these tabs and prevent this behavior in the future? Note: I have copied previous versions of the Firefox profiles files to my active profiles folder, but this does not bring back the lost tabs.

My Firefox created a new profile and reset everything. I was able to go back and locate my bookmarks and restore them, but my menu bar is reset, my history and saved passwords etc are all gone.

On two different Windows machines, current Firefox (153.0.1), the alt-d shortcut stops working: it does nothing until I restart Firefox. Then it works again for a while. I've tried about:keyboard and it's not reset there. I tried all combinations: Clear, Reset, setting it to alt-d explicitly. None of those worked. But when I set it to alt-a, that worked--but then resetting back to alt-d again didn't work. That shortcut is muscle memory at this point, so it's quite distressing. Not sure what diagnostics might be available to help here, happy to try anything.

Full disclosure: Both machines are Windows 10 but since that's stable, I find it hard to believe that's related.
