Just this week firefox has been demanding that I choose a profile before I gain access. Can I skip this step? And how can I change the unpleasant blob that I must choose. I have got one answer which requests a screen shot but I can't find my question to attach it. (I can't find the old search questions--but I'm most elderly.) and need links or reminders. Anyway, I'll put the screen shot here.

My wife's old Windows 10 HP laptop quit working last week do to some Operating System failure while it was trying to do an update. It finally did a reboot and now it is useless, at least as it is! It will NOT complete the boot process after trying all of the options offered. All that I am able to is exit out of Windows to a "DOS prompt." I am able to get to the Mozilla Firefox folder and others contain within. The new Windows 11 laptop I bought her is working fine with a fresh Firefox browser installed about a week ago. What she wants is her web links, settings and saved passwords "copied" from the old laptop and installed on the new one! We have no idea how many there are to retrieve! I'm hoping that there might only be one folder that I can copy via "command line" prompt to a USB drive and move the file(s) to the new laptop the same way. Can anyone tell me what I need to know? I have switched OS, from Windows 10 to Linux Mint, and wanted to copy the Firefox profile to the new OS. I tried using this guide: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

I copied the xxxxxxxx.default-release folder, then switched OS to Linux Mint. After copying the files from the backup folder into the new folder, Firefox launches, but is completely blank. See the attached image. None of the buttons work, nor does the address bar or new folders. I also tried logging in to my Firefox account before copying the files, but that didn't work either.

Default Firefox works fine.

I did not really know what happened but every time I opened home page, it did not load. It was working before but suddenly it didn't. I have tried writing "about:home" into search bar and it returned nothing. Just a blank page and an empty search bar.

I've checked the settings and it should be fine. Nothing wrong with it. I've checked the flatpak version and its ok. I was able to open my home tab.

I am using Firefox 148.0.2 (64-bit) Debian .deb.

For the last 2-3 day I have been experiencing a box that asks for my signature each time I go to a new website. I can't move the box. I can't screenshot it. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Trying to access search Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply gives errors. Works with Chrome. Started about 2 weeks ago or so. I use Starlink, no VPN, tried disabling Ad Blocker, Clearing cache for Lowes, no Add ons, but still doesn't help.

Error msg from Tractor Supply is: Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/catalog/lawn-garden?" on this server.

Windows 11 : Fix this ASAP I delete all tabs, close firefox, reopen and I get 5 tabs which seem to be STUCK. I delete 3 of these tabs, go about my work, none of those 3 are open, and I shut everything down. When I reopen Firefox, those 5 "default tabs" (the 3 I don't want have migrated over from I don't know were - both Chrome and Edge open with New Tab.)

I have enough other problems in my life - and done't tell me to create a new profile. At that point I'll kill firefox and end my donations to Mozilla.

I just accidentally deleted a day of history, now it has to relearn a bunch of stuff.

Please add support for undo, so that if you do it by accident, you can reverse it.

I have been unable to access any secure sites since I installed Norton 360 Antivirus. Whenever I try to access a secure site I receive the reply: Secure Connection Failed Error: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR I have tried all of the repairs listed on the internet but none have corrected the fault. I have also tried disabling Norton but also without success I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox but without success Can you suggest any other methods to correct this fault

On some sites where the text input isn't a proper input box, pressing Back Escape takes me back to the previous page is there anyway to fix this? (for example the wordle page.)

Up until maybe mid last year, I had an RX580 8gb. I was able to game on my main screen and watch videos on my second screen with no issues. Then I upgraded to a 2080 and now a 3070. When I switched to the 2080 I ran DDU. But ever since switching to NVIDIA whenever I game and watch videos, mainly twitch, the framerate on my game and twitch tanks. Sometimes it even causes a timeout or causes the video to corrupt, then I have to close and reopen the tab. From what I can see in Task Manager, the video decode just starts dying. Sometimes if I pause my game and then pause the video the frame rates will return to normal. If I'm watching something on YouTube, I'll instead get audio issues where the sound on the video will lower if the sound on the game gets louder. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't help. I've tried messing around with my internet settings, resetting my modem, that hasn't helped either. Drivers are all up to date. My specs are:
