Why am I able to automatically sign into my accounts yet they don't show up in my known password manager?
I don't understand why some I can sign into some websites using autocomplete yet they do not show up in my password manager. This is frustrating because they were there previously but they are not anymore. I have Sync set up, and it shows up on neither of my devices!

hello AnAwesomePerson, those websites may use cookies to recognize you from a prior visit and sign you in automatically: Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop

Great idea, almost lost my accounts!!
[EDIT]My apologies. Having a really bad day and I thought Fred's answer was an attempt to get me locked out of my accounts because I didn't remember the p/. I tried it and had to go through a few steps in order to regain control over my accounts. It was a hassle and I'm not in the mood for it.

hello, your quick apology is appreciated since you have blatantly crossed the line of what's acceptable in your original reply.
please note that all people replying here are fellow firefox users volunteering their time to help others - respectful treatment of each other is a prerequisite if you want to use this forum (Mozilla Support rules and guidelines).
also nowhere in your original question was it mentioned that you don't know the passwords to the account anymore, so certainly no harm was intended!
I use the password manager in Firefox. But I also write down my passwords in a file just in case. Then if FF looses the PW, or you use another browser, you have a backup. If you are worried about someone else looking in the file, all you have to do is to ZIP the file with a password that you can remember. After all, who can remember hundreds of passwords.

On most web sites, if you try to log in, but forgot your user name / password,
the site may have a link that sends you reset information to your registered
