When Firefox is open on my daughters Windows 7 login, it will not open on my wifes Windows7 login. Sometimes, my wife will get an error message asking us to put a disk in the drive. When we close Firefox on my daughters Windows7 login, then Firefox opens on my wife's Windows7 login. The problem works vice versa. In other words, it seems Firefox will only work on one Windows7 id at a time.

Hello KenJorB,

Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support. It sounds like Firefox is using the same profile for both users and this is preventing your wife's from working when your daughter's profile is in use. Use the following instructions to create another profile on your wife's login.

You will need to quit Firefox on both logins before attempting these steps.

1. Open run prompt by pressing Windows key + R 2. Run this command in run : firefox.exe -P -no-remote (NB: -P is in CAPS) 3. The Firefox profile manager will open and ask you to choose the profile you want to use. If you already have more than 1 profile, click on the “Create Profile” button to create a new profile and once the new profile is created, select it and click “Start Firefox”

Please let us know if this solves your issue.

Cheers, Patrick
