security risk? can someone read another person's toolbar bookmark property data?
Just wondering if you ever heard of or know if it's possible for someone to view property data in the toolbar bookmark area other than looking at the screen? Could Firefox ever be in danger of a virus that could read the bookmark property data?

Any program that has access to the Firefox profile folder can open the places.sqlite database file and scan its content to inspect the bookmarks and the history accessed via this profile. You would only have to know how to access SQLite database files. This goes for any personal data created/saved by a specific program.
Thanks for the quick response.
So this would include all the data that is inputted into the properties of each bookmark like Name:, Location,: Tags:, Keyword: and Description:?
Yes.
You can use the SQLite Manager extension in Firefox to inspect SQLite database files.

Firefox also creates a daily JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder in the Firefox profile folder that stores this bookmark data as well.
