I have a cannon mf455-dw that is suppose to open the email client when you scan to email and attach the file. When it goes to open Thunderbird it fails. Is this common and is there are work around for this?

Is the scanner app 32 or 64 bit? If it's 32-bit, TB must also be 32-bit for the connection to (possibly) work.
