Many users of T'bird are possibly like me where needs simply revolve around Email/Address Book and Local Folders but not all the additional 'bells and whistles'.

My attraction to T'bird is it's very flexible Local Folders ... I do not keep emails online but either delete or save in a local folder.

Have our developer volunteers considered a 'lite version'?

Thunderbird is primarily a mail client, not a local mail manager. But while I see little value in a product that does not get my mail for me you are welcome to suggest it.

I guess I did not explain my needs accurately. I do use T'bird as a computer program to access and manage email eg a mail client with excellent storage. Thanks for link.
