When I install Thunderbird 102.1.2. (64) on my Windows 10 PC and install a calender (via net) with a link to my Synology DS220j NAS. Thunderbird shows a turning wheel for hours. In the task manager the "inbox" seems not to run. From then on, I get always the turning wheel when I start TB. I could stopp this by deleting the directory "calender-data" in preferencies and delete the Synology-Calender in TB afterwards. I see this behavior on 2 PCs. The Synology Caldav works fine with Outlook and some Androids. Has/had anyone the same issue and a solution how to manage it?

I got it!! I used calendar in outlook wich was synchronized with Synology NAS. Some serial dates in this calendar had no limit (no number, no time). When I cleaned all this serial dates (direct in Synology NAS) Thunderbird works fine.

The only fact which is interesting: In Outlook I had no problems with the infinite serial dates, but Thunderbird has.

Just a wild guess but Outlook uses a caldav collection URL to locate a calendar. My understanding is Thunderbird requires the calendar URL not the collection URL.

Hello Matt, thanks for this idea. In Outlook I use "caldav Synchronizer" as interface. the URL looks like: https://xxxx.synology.me:5001/caldav.php/yyyyy/home/ (and it works) and in TB I use the same URL. Do you see a chance to use a similar approachin TB than in Outlook with an interface software?
