Today when I opened my email on my computer the last email I could see was sent 2 days ago. I went to my i-phone and opened up my email and saw emails sent this morning which then disappeared in front of my eyes. Now on my phone I can only see emails 2 days old and older. Where did the emails of the last two days go? How did they disappear? Will I loose my other emails? Can I retrieve the lost emails? Is there anything that can be done to protect me from loosing emails?

Is this a gmail account? If yes, log on to webmail account via a browser and see if those emails are in the 'All Mail' folder. If you see them in 'All Mail' reapply suitable labels to put them back into correct folders.

re : I went to my i-phone and opened up my email and saw emails sent this morning Did you send those emails via the phone or via webmail or via Thunderbird? I'm presuming the Thunderbird account is IMAP. Is the phone also set up as imap?

re :Today when I opened my email on my computer the last email I could see was sent 2 days ago. Did you startup thunderbird the day before and see emails for that day that have since disappeared or is it a couple of days since opening Thunderbird but you expected to see that mornings 'Sent' mail?

What anti-virus do you use on computer and phone ?
