Firefox stops videos from autoplaying such as giphy embeds on reddit

As the title says, giphy videos and the like no longer autoplays while I'm browsing reddit which is very annoying. This works on my work computer running windows 7 with synchronized ff settings, but on my home computers with windows 10 and firefox they run for a split second before pausing. I've tried fiddling with autoplay settings in about:config to no avail, and I've turned all my plugins off to no avail.
