When I'm bookmarking a page often the folder times out before I can choose or specify where (what folder) I want to bookmark that page. As a result of the timeout the page being bookmarked is saved in the "other bookmarks" folder by default. This timing out is inconvenient and annoying. Why is this happening?

Hi, hope this answers your question: When you click on the star, the bookmark, by default, will go into Other Bookmarks (prior to v48 known as Unsorted Bookmarks); however if you wish it to go to a different destination, keep your mouse pointer over the dialog box to prevent it from disappearing, then use the upper, downward pointing arrow on the far right, to select a destination > Done.

The following may also be of help - Bookmarks in Firefox.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Are you using Sync to sync the bookmarks?

No I'm not using Sync. This time-out happens say about once out of every three or four attempts to bookmark. Often I keep the cursor right on top of the bookmark folders to prove to myself it's not related to me wondering away from the bookmark folder field. The function times out and it puts the bookmark in the "other bookmarks" folder instead of waiting for me to select the desired folder. I've been having this issue with Firefox for quite some time now (6-9months?) with no solution, fyi.

As I stated in my response to Corel, while my cursor is over the proper bookmark field the function times out 1 out of every 3 or 4 times.
