At the end of every day or so I have to go through my bookmarks to delete the 5 or more bookmarks Firefox has added on its own volition. Why is Firefox bookmarking things I didn't ask to bookmark and how do I get it to stop?

I'm using Firefox 49.01 on an Imac just recently updated from Yosemite to Sierra (it was happening on Yosemite too).

That's strange, where are the bookmarks appearing (for example, end of the Bookmarks Menu, the Other Bookmarks category) and do you at least recognize the sites?

I do recognize the sites--I did visit them, I just didn't bookmark them.

They show up at the end of the "bookmarks menu".

I've never heard of that...

Do you have any add-ons that could be doing it?

Is there anything that could be sending Command+d to Firefox (that keyboard shortcut will create a new bookmark at the end of the Bookmarks Menu)?

I have the following extensions on Firefox.

Adblock plus and Adblock Pop up add on Web of Trust Easy Youtube downloader express flashstopper share button for pinterest

I have not (on purpose) typed command d anytime during this period. I know I first noticed this behavior a few weeks ago, but it had been going on for much longer (based on how many bookmarks I had to delete when I first noticed this).
