Win7 ultimate, AMD A8-5600 system. Used thunderbird as mail client for a charter.net address until April 2015. Installed a Thunderbird update and probably a windows update or two and password for charter wasn't accepted. Used charter.net web site to verify a good password, checked charter to make sure Thunderbird still acceptable to charter, which it was but no success logging in. Did notice that the charter.net server settings for a desktop were different from what Thunderbird had defaulted to; tried those but no luck. Assumed an update was causing problems that would be resolved later and used web or Outlook to check email. Tried to use Thunderbird today. No luck. Deleted account, let Thunderbird set defaults on reinstall but no luck. Deleted account, reinstalled, set charted.net server settings (STMP.charter vs mobile.charter, and different ports) but still no luck. Now accepts the password apparently but never gets incoming emails Web and Outlook fine. Suggestions?
