I am no longer able to pay accounts using Firefox, such as my supermarket and Govt motor vehicle registration, so I have to do that bit through another browser. It used to be okay, until recently. Supermarket is through direct debit, and car reg is by credit card. I can do the order without any problems, until the actual payment is tried, at which time I have to go to another browser and copy the URL at that stage, and pay it. What may be causing that? I suspect the problem is caused by Firefox's Gecko-based Android media stack.

Device:

Honor Magic V5 Snapdragon 8 Elite MagicOS 10.0.0.157

Software:

Firefox Android 152.0.6 uBlock Origin the only extension

Reproduction:

Open any YouTube video in Firefox. Play at 720p or higher. Pause/resume or seek. Audio and video begin intermittent stuttering. Switch to another app and return to Firefox and playback immediately returns to normal without reloading the site.

Comparison:

Chrome: works fine Vivaldi: works fine DuckDuckGo Browser: works fine

Things tested:

Hardware acceleration enabled. Battery optimization disabled. Performance mode enabled. Cache/history cleared. media.android-media-codec.preferred tested. gfx.webrender.software tested. AVC and VP9 both affected. Inner and outer displays affected. Desktop mode also affected. Firefox Nightly stutters even without seeking.

I'm running Firefox on Win10 with no options to upgrade to 11. Since the latest firefox update installed, I'm getting a screen that says "Oops, something's wrong," and then I'm kicked out of gmail. A screen asks about sending a report to Firefox, which I check OK for. Today this is happening about every minute to 30 seconds . What needs to happen?

Hello Mozilla Support, I am trying to use a website, but it shows the message "You are using an incompatible web browser." I am using the latest version of Firefox on my Android phone, but the website still does not work. I have already refreshed the page and restarted the browser. Please help me fix this problem. I have had problems logging into my PayPal account have changed my password several times but the change has not been saved. also I have tried to purchase items on the internet and paypal would not connect in firefox but would connect on another server why ?

I have had access to TastyTrade thru FireFox for years. Within the last two days I am unable to log on. When I click on the link the screen goes all white and the page will not open. When using Edge I am able to get logged in but not thru FireFox which is my preferred browser.

after the last Firefox update the zynga game Farmville 2 will not load. It gives me a screen to fix mentioning chrome..but all efforts to manually fix referencing Firefox have failed. Odd that I can load the plain Zyngagames.com on Edge but it seems they too only load a "local" game that is not connected to any network. Help also mentions to make sure I allow to redirect but that "Options" feature to do so is not there. In fact it seems like the Firefox menu system is even much different and expanded. I will add the screens I have tried etc. Pop ups are allowed, turned off enhanced etc. but cannot find any reference to "third party redirects" Any suggestions are appreciated.

235 Hello, my bank updated its online banking service, and since then, I haven't been able to log in. It works with Edge or Chrome but not Firefox. I never keep my browsing history and have cleared the cache, so why can't I log in?

Since the last two updates, Not including the current update as I have not downloaded it because I am sick of them, I cannot see any images on Sky news articles. There is just a white box where the images should be.

Also the back/forward buttons are useless. I do a search on Bing and click through the pages then when I , say get to page six and retype for another article the previous search doesn't exist when I use the back button. I have to remember and retype the name of the article I am looking for.

When the "Scroll to hide toolbar" option is turned on, commonly used web features, such as paywalls will make it impossible to scroll after I have scrolled down the page, hiding the toolbar. Since it is impossible to scroll up, the toolbar is impossible to access unless I use a pinch to zoom gesture. A lot of websites also disable this gesture also, however.

Spellchecker does not function, and in my most important projects, Gemini and Substack, no spell checking takes place, I have to switch to Chrome of all things...here in this field spell-checking is taking place...why?

I have spent much time researching this issue, made all the intervention recommended, nothing works, and the failure is 'selective', works on many things, fails on important production browser interfacing.

I value being Chrome-free, please help me solve this issue

I am having the problem a fix was created for previously where attempts to sign in to my google account continually redirect to a request to clear cache and cookies. Have done so multiple times, still can't log in. Can log in on Chrome so definitely a Firefox-specific issue.

We have resolved an issue with Google prompting users to ‘clear cookies and site data’ when logging in. A fix has been published, via Firefox remote settings that does not require a Firefox upgrade. Users will receive the update over the next 6hrs, if you would like to update immediately simply restart Firefox.

Note: The issue was related to CHIPS being enabled in Fx131, this feature has been temporarily disabled while we resolve the issues. Users who have disabled 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' in Privacy & Security settings will need to enable to receive the update.

I am trying to edit my payment method with Directv.com. I log in with no issues. However, every time I try to access "edit payment" their website automatically logs me out. After a discussion with them, they blame Firefox for the problem and want me to use a different browser. Is it Firefox or is it their website?

I have attached a screen shot so you can see where if I click I get logged out.

How do I resolve scrolling issues (unable to scroll) on many websites. AI recommendations of clearing browsing history and cache have not been effective. Scrolling is possible using Google Chrome.

I recently made the switch to Firefox full time a few weeks ago, and in that time, I have been getting more and more annoying at how Firefox renders Youtube.com.

If I'm on my feed, and I click to watch a video, watch it and go back, I never know what I'm going to see when it goes back a page. Obviously it goes back to youtube.com, but I never know if it's going to load at the top of my feed, or about ten rows down. Even if I click a video in the very first row, and then go back a page, it may or may not load at the top of my feed. I could also actually click a video on the tenth row, and then when I go back, it might load at the top of my feed, though that is not as common, it has happened. It also sort of, kind of, reloads the page when it goes back, but never goes back to the point on my feed at the spot where the video I just watched is, as Chrome and Brave do.

This is not how Chrome or Brave do things, and yes, I know they use a different engine, and I'm sure that's the reason for this issue. Chrome or Brave, if I'm watching a video and click back to my feed, they are much better at loading what is in cache, even if I the video was on the 100th row. I can then manually refresh if I want to.
