Two weeks ago my received email displayed the imbedded links with a picture, now all I get is a blank box for the link. The link works properly but I would rather see the image in the email rather than click on the link

Recently I opened Thunderbird and it automatically added the following folders to my account:

All the generic yellow folders below the Deleted trash can icon suddenly appeared and they weren't there or weren't shown before. I right-mouse clicked on the account folder, went to Subscribe, unticked the folders that I don't want to subscribe to (all the yellow ones were there), restarted Thunderbird and they all still appeared and the boxes I unchecked, had just rechecked themselves.

I don't want them shown. Is there anyway to fix this?

While deleting blocks of inbox messages the screen view suddenly went to full screen. By this i mean i have the menu bar at the top and the space bar on the left, the rest of the screen is the actual message that was originally highlighted. (i suspect fat finger syndrome and extra keys pushed) but i can not get back to the classic view even though it is ticked in the view/layout menu no matter what i try. all possibilties in the view menu explored, app restarted just came back to full screen. i have searched help database and cant find anything else to try. To all intents it is locked on this screen and i cant find a way out.

When browsing a website that uses persistent storage, Firefox pops up a prompt from the URL bar that says "Allow <site> to store data in persistent storage?"

How can I disable the prompt so it never pops up to ask me and automatically blocks everything?

I looked in settings and didn't find anything and didn't see anything in about:config that obviously controls this behaviour either.

Just hoping someone can help me figure out what else to try. I've only been using firefox a month or two recently, I'd been on Chrome for a while and now I'm a refugee. Anyway. Trying to figure out how to make my theme persist between sessions.

Each time I reload it's back to default. I'm able to disable and re-enable it in settings, and it applies just fine, but then is lost every time a new session starts. Not sure why this isn't toggling a flag to hold persistently. Any help is appreciated. J

How come i dont see my recent history in each new tab i open ???

I mean all the site i just visited already listed and showed on each new tab you open, this is so obvious i still dont understand how come it is not an automatic setting.

Can someone tell me how i can set this on firefox please.

Hello all. I need help, & am so stuck. I'm sorry in advance, I'll type this as best as I can. My issues involve scanning, among others. First, I need help with trying to enable something called Webscan, which is apparently enabled through something called EWS. I have a new printer & a new phone. My printer is an HP deskjet 2734e, my phone is a Samsung S24. I suspect I will have to do this on my 2 existing devices, too. Those are a Galaxy Tab 7 and an HP windows 11 laptop. Second, my printer has had an orange light with {!} turned on since day 1. This printer does not have a screen. {stupid, I know.} I then have a scan error that vaguely pops up here and there, plus an error in the HP Smart app. I think these are all connected. I haven't ever been able to send print jobs from any devices other than my laptop, until now, so I don't have any experience here. I can print but not scan. Printing involves the HP plugin, can't use the HP smart app for this. The articles that I have read online contain steps that do not work. {put your ip address in your browser, security, admin, etc.} Does anyone know how to fix this, please? I'm going to post this on HP's site, too, and see. I have tried everything. Thank you in advance.

all of a sudden, for no particular reason i can think of, my e-mail (gmail) has quit autofilling e-mail addresses when i type someone's name as a recipient. i haven't changed any settings. one day it worked, the next day it quit working.

Afrer making a fresh installation of Thunderbird all newly coming messages are visible only under "All" ["Wszystkie/PL] folder and not "Inbox" anymore. I tried to review existing filter, visibility settings and folder settings however can't see anything what it could be the cause of this issue. I would expect as before re-installing Thunderbid that all newly messages lands by default under "Inbox" folder and only those for wich I have configured filter rules are moved into specific folders that previously created.

I take a lot of screenshots using Firefox's built in screenshot tool to share with my friends. After a while it slows down my Photos folder and I move them elsewhere. However, I cannot move, delete, or even rename any of the 18 photos shown in the photo below. They are all from Twitter/X, but this error does not apply to every screenshot from Twitter - I was able to move or delete most of them. However, it is ONLY happening with photos from Twitter. They are not Read Only so I don't know what the issue is. I'm not having this issue with Windows Snip tool, only Firefox Screenshots.

Thunderbird (Version 128.4.2esr) is not emptying the trash folder upon exiting the program, and I seem unable to find the setting to enable the function to automatically empty the folder.

When downloading a file, if the filename has no extension, Firefox adds ".html" to the filename. I want it to leave the filename as-is, with no extension. It will leave the name intact if I surround it with quotation marks, but it didn't previously require this.

Firefox Settings relates to Firefox extensions, which is not this issue. And the list of Applications does not include names that don't have an extension.

Example of situation: An SSL Certificate site needs to confirm my ownership of a domain. I download a file from the issuing site. The file's name has no extension. Firefox adds ".html", which causes the file to be not found after uploading.

Firefox did not have this misbehavior before the most recent update.

I seem to have lost my pinned Bookmarks sidebar. I know I can use the CTRL+B key combo to get the bookmarks sidebar to show but I had it set-up such that I could close Firefox and later reopen it and the bookmark sidebar will still show upon reopening Firefox. Now, each time I open Firefox, I have to hit CTRL+B again for the Bookmarks sidebar to appear again. I can't seem to find the setting to keep the bookmarks sidebar to always show. Any ideas?
