1. 1 there should be an option to put the menu with the delete button at the bottom, not top.
2. 2 Unified inbox is great, but why not unified everything. Unified spam,.sent, deleted etc. Blue mail does it and it's very useful.

Those are the 2 main things. Anything else is not important but nice. E.g.

1. 3 Options for a bit more colour or ability to colour things, like accounts or senders.
2. 4 One click unsubscribe for emails

Other than that it's utterly awesome and feels very stable, unlike the new release of Blue Mail.

Since a few releases, when composing a message and selecting text, the highlight color is invisible in light mode. In dark mode the highlight color is a light blue. Is there a way to change the highlight color in light mode? Thank you.

I installed Thunderbird for Android beta at my smartphone. After importing my account from the desktop version of Thunderbird I don't see the subfolders of my inbox. How can I show subfolders in the app for Android?

The automated email from one sender states in the Inbox summary that the email client does not support HTML (TB app for Android). Presumably the message format is changed accordingly. I don't see a setting for incoming email formatting. Can you help? Inbox summary view and partial view of opened message below.

I set the Visible Message Actions to Delete and Move.

But I get Delete and Mark as Unread.

Move is far more important to me than Mark as Unread - why can't I see/control this?

I have unified inbox. If I want to view other folders e.g. sent them navigation is painful. Other android apps make navigation much simpler. Am I missing something

Well that involves moving back and forth for each and every line.

Sure, blame it on the sender for assuming we have a desktop computer.

But now it's too late, they've already sent it to us.

Gmail gets around this by reformatting the HTML to fit the screen size.

Or perhaps we could be allowed to see the plain text version of a multi-part MIME message, like Roundcube allows us to.

after yahoo messed up their email beyond usability I am looking for an email client.

I like Thunderbird with it's neat and clean user interface. But even with 0 subject lines ans compact settings I only see 8 emails per screen on my 10" tablet.

Is there another setting that I have missed which would give me at least 20 emails per screen?

Also search is incredibly slow (one result every 1-3 seconds). Is that only because I just recently installed it?

When composing emails in Thunderbird for Android, I can't find any options to format text.

I can't select a typeface (even the most basic html tags for serif/sans-serif/monospace aren't available) or even make text bold, italic or underlined.

This makes it very hard to create emphasis where necessary, and it feels like ancient emails from before HTML formatting.

Is there something I am missing, or does this depend on the phone?

NB: I can do this with my messaging apps and the Gmail app, which I prefer not to use.

Currently all the function buttons - delete, move, mark unread etc - are positioned at the top of the Android UI. This makes it necessary to use 2 hands to check emails, which not everyone is able to do. For the rest of us it slows down work flow substantially which is infuriating. Is there any way to move these buttons to the bottom or side of the screen? If not, please add this capability ASAP. I will have to revert to Fairmail until it's fixed.

Is it possible to make Thunderbird make better use of screen realestate on large devices such as tablets?

In my opinion it should be possible to get a view that is more similar to the desktop version, where the content is laid out in 3 columns:

1. List of accounts and mailboxes
2. List of messages in the selected folder/mailbox
3. The email/message that has been selected.

See attached for what it looks like in the gmail app, for comparison. On Gmail they only have two columns, but even on there it's making effective use of the space.

1) There is a layout problem in the accounts display on the left hand side, where the email addresses are sometimes obscured by the titles of the pages (see screenshot). 2) Also, is it possible to adjust the labels of so that they reflect the initials of two-word titles? So Websites Wanted would be WW, not WE, and Prague Story PS, not PR? Or even upload avatars instead of lettered labels? Thanks!
