I recently had to buy two new laptops. I loaded FF but now I have no bookmarks on the address bar. Ive read many of the support articles but can't find anyway to revert back to the far more useful version (the one that worked before). This is causing many other problems on trying to load Windows 11 on the two and then try to load Firefox.

I saw a notice on this 3rd laptop )that hasn't been downgraded to the latest version) this is the beta version. Frankly. when I found the problem originally I thought I had a virus or Trojan on my system. I need the bookmarks easily accessed since I use them constantly to visit the sites most important to my work.

If this is Beta then you have one very irate user that it simply changed most of Firefox's settings without notice or recourse. So my question is simply this: is there a way to reload FF on these two new units with the vastly superior previous versions? PLEASE give users the original settings so that they can choose which they need.

I'm having issues with my home screen shortcuts favicons not updating. when i try to edit the shortcut > use custom image > i enter the favicon.ico url > hit preview > the preview updates but my home screen shortcut doesnt.

This article didn't workout for me https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings and it occurs on both my linux machine and my windows machine.

Not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this, if I'm missing something, or if i'm missing a step in my troubleshooting.

For the past 2 weeks, I have been unable to open my McAfee True Key in Firefox. I get the following error message: Firefox can’t find the file at moz-extension://ae1ad9a5-b03b-436d-a80c-089f594a3777/pages/dashboard.html#passwords. McAfee says that Firefox is blocking their extension. It works fine in the Microsoft Edge browser. When will I be able to use True Key in Firefox?

Firefox just updated. Now when I go to a website, right-click a link, and choose open in a new tab or window,it does nothing. If I left-click the link I can get to it in the same window, but when I go back to the originating page, it seldom takes me to back to where I started (which is why I prefer to open a new tab.)

The right-click menu itself looks wonky: There's blank spaces at the top, far too many options appearing, most of which are irrelevant to the situation or duplicate options.

This is happening in every site I've tried. For some sites I use this means Firefox is useless.

I am trying to sync my Firefox on a Windows 10 PC with Firefox on a Windows 10 laptop. On the PC, I have 43 tabs open. When I sync the PC and laptop, not all tabs are shown on the laptop. Both have "open tabs" checked in the sync settings. If I look at the sidebar on the PC, showing the "synced tabs," only 20 tabs are listed. This explains why the other 23 tabs are not synced. But why aren't they synced? I can't find anything telling me there is a limit on the number of tabs that are synced, or how I can elect which tabs to sync. If I look in the sidebar at "history," it does show searches on both the PC and laptop that were made on the PC and are shown in tabs on the PC that aren't synced. Can I have the sidebar display all tabs, and not just the synced tabs?

A Google Search produced a file within my Mac as one of its responses. It took me awhile to figure out it was the response beginning , "https://downloads . . ." I knew Google's reputation as the worst spy of internet activity, but I thought it only searched the internet. How can I prevent Google searching within my computer files?

When I go to the website https://www.rebateinternational.com/RebateInternational/contactUs.do and I try to fill out the webform on that page and use autofill to fill in the e-mail address, it gives me an error message that says "please enter a valid email address" even though the e-mail address is valid. Also, if I do not use autofill, but simply type everything in manually, it still gives me that same error message. This problem does not occur in Google Chrome, but it does occur in Firefox. Sometimes I can solve the problem by erasing part of the email address and then re-typing that part, but that doesn't always work. It also doesn't work if I erase the entire e-mail address and type it in manually. The problem does not appear to be caused by add-ons and does not appear to be caused by hardware acceleration, because I have disabled add-ons and have turned off hardware acceleration. It also does not appear to be caused by cache and cookies, because the same problem occurs after I clear the cache and cookies. I will appreciate any response you can provide to help solve this problem.

I'm trying to use a script which requires a question mark after the "dot com." I.e., if the url should be http://www.URL.com?custom_URL, it changes it to http://www.URL.com/?custom_URL. How to I keep it from changing the URL - and what is the point of jamming that slash in there in the first place?

This is my second attempt at getting an answer. Can't anyone help me with this?

So since today I have an Issue where a ton of Pictures on Firefox turn completely black (see attachments). This happens on basically every Website. I've tried a few things like removing/disabling extensions or changing the Theme however nothing helped. I also have another instance of Firefox installed on another Drive on my PC (completely clean new installation) and there I have the exact same Problem. I tried updating Firefox but that broke it completely on my other Instance and now I can not even open Tabs there anymore.

Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

Recently got this new pc built with an AMD ryzen 5 8500g, 16gb ram 5200mhz if that matters. While using firefox, the browser itself would stop responding and crash or sometimes just hang. I reinstalled firefox and it fixed the crashing and hanging, however a couple of hours ago while playing a browser game the computer reset itself completely Is there any way this can be fixed? I've tried some methods but i'm willing to try them again

when using a Fido2 security key Firefox browser requests a "security pin" to continue logging on to other website. I don't recall setting a pin. How to change or delete the pin issue?

2. Clear your browser cache and try again.

3. Try logging in with a different browser.

4. Try logging in with a different device. I have gone through all of the above steps. I can access these sites on Chrome. I have contacted the bank support team and they tell me they support Firefox browser. I have also disabled the Pop-Up blocker and continue to get this message. Please advise. Thank you. Recently, my bank's bill pay program was updated. Ever since then, I haven't been able to get in to make changes using my original browser (Google), so today I tried to get in using Firefox. It worked properly while I still had my computer person available. However, when I tried to get back in to the bill pay part, it says I can't because I'm not using the browser I used to to set it up. That one won't let me in! How can I fix this? I get this message:
