Using Firefox 157.0 with hardened settings, I have `Clear cookies and site data every time you close Firefox` set to enabled. There are some sites that I want to keep the cookies of (I don't want the browser to be 100% amnesic - I want a whitelist of trusted sites). To achieve that, I have set their domains under Privacy & Security -> Browsing Data -> Manage Exceptions, but when I close and re-open the browser, seems like those exceptions are cleared. I have some extensions and config changes to help harden the browser and improve usability, so those could in theory cause the issue.
Curious if somebody else faces this issue too.

I am getting this on yahoo? Take a moment to review your privacy setting
In the past, you've chosen not to allow us to share and sell your personal information, such as your IP address and cookie IDs.
This is affecting your experience by blocking certain content (like embedded social media and videos in articles) and personalized ads.
Choose whether you Allow us to share and sell your personal information.
This information helps to personalize your experience across Yahoo, like showing you ads for things that matter to you. "Personal information" does not include things like personal emails or contact information. You can always change this by visiting your privacy controls.

How can I stop Firefox from automatic granting sites cross-site cookie permissions (see screenshot)? The problem is that the cross-site cookie(s) granted for a site more often than not is completely unrelated to that site. This problem is very frustrating.
I have tried changing several settings in Tracking Protection but nothing has stopped Firefox from auto-granting these permissions. I have for example turned off "Fix major site issues (recommended)" but it has not changed this behavior.
Thankful for any help.

In a Private tab in strict mode (on Linux), I log into my Google account, then log out, clear all the cookies and cached data (Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> tick all the boxes and clear everything), open a new private tab, go to the gmail website and it still remembers my account. However, if I quit Firefox and re-open it, then Google no longer remembers the account.
What information is deleted when I quit Firefox that is not deleted when I manually clear the cookies/cache/local data? Does anyone know why Google can still remember my account when I manually clear all the browsing data but not after I quit Firefox?
Thank you!

I have a new mac air and I had to set up a new Firefox/Mozzila account. Since then, I keep getting a Google sign in request. I have a Google email for websites that I don't really use, so am effectively a Google customer, but I prefer to not have this pop up every time I go to a website that has a sign in. How to I get rid of these pop-ups? Thank you, Fi

Whenever I sign in to my VA account, I check the box to "Remember this browser" (as attached), but it never works. VA IT told me it was an issue with the browser (i.e., Firefox). This might have just been their way of making me go away quietly. (Blowing me off!) But I thought I'd check with you anyway. Can you help? Thanks
I need direction on how to fix this problem so I can log in to the Jpay site.
Even using your private browser...some sites are still managing to force cookies...you need to fix this or it isn't "PRIVATE...right???

Over the last week or so my personal websites (such as Banking, Amazon, Facebook, etc.) suddenly started asking for (text or email) verification to sign in successfully. This only happens after a restart. (Sometimes I run a 'restart to untangle some glitch - but some Windows updates do a restart automatically.) And I have to go through all the verification stuff again! VERY ANNOYING!! Some MS tech this morning had me uncheck Cookies and other data in the Privacy and security category. But that didn't help. I just did a restart and AGAIN my bank(s) websites asked for a texted CODE. So did Facebook, and Amazon. Once I complete the CODE requirement it stays good until the next restart. And when I went to change that "cookies" option was nowhere to be found (to change it back) In SETTINGS>PRIVACY & SECURITY - NOW shows just the green button and box that says "STANDARD". I don't want or need this annoying added verification on every site that I use daily. I don't know exactly how or when this started...(maybe about a week ago).

I am using 147 ESR and when I go to permissions and block all cookies for the site plex.tv the cookies are not blocked. If I go to the URL field and select the lock, it shows "clear cookies and site data" which means the cookies have being accepted.

Every time I access my bank's website using Firefox I get a pop-up telling me to "manage online experience". After I "manage" it, it appears on every page I go to on the bank's site (ie. savings account or chequing account etc.) I have white listed several of the pages in Privacy and Security but this has no effect. Obviously I am missing something. Can anyone give me guidance? Thx.
