Even though I have settings set to load previous tabs when Firefox is started up but when it is restarted it doesn't load the tabs. This has only occurred the last few days. My solution is to select "reopen all windows" which does what I want but also opens several other versions of Firefox. Noteworthy, confusing, but probably not associated: In the course of trying to work through this, I have had a baseball playing on Chrome. I ended up closing out Chrome but the baseball game audio continues even though the Chrome appears to be closed on the taskbar.

When I try to connect to MSNBC Live TV or Fox Sports Live TV while using Mozilla Firefox, I am asked to click on my provider (which is Verizon) so that I can verify my account. When I click on that icon (from a choice of 15 or so providers), it sends me to the Verizon page where the message is Please wait - we are verifying your account with a spinning wheel that does not stop spinning. Yesterday while using Firefox my keyboard quit functioning in Firefox (Windows 11). I closed everything and restarted the computer. Everything else works fine, but Firefox would not load. I tried to the repair function and that wouldn't load. I tried to uninstall and that wouldn't load. I uninstalled with a third part app, and tried to reinstall, but that keeps giving a can't install message after trying for several minutes. I tried to install Firefox Beta and that installer hangs up at [Execute: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\default-browser-agent.exe" register-task 308046]. Also cleaned registry.

The one I am up to is this :-
Refresh Firefox Click the menu button (≡). Select Help, then choose More troubleshooting information. Click the Refresh Firefox… button on the right side of the page. In the confirmation window that appears, click Refresh Firefox. Firefox will close and restart. When it finishes, a window will show the data that was imported. Click Finish. Choose whether to restore your previous windows and tabs, then click Let’s go!.

For some time, Firefox on Windows (Windows 11, FF 143.0.4) has been showing a tab bar under the menu items, and above the bar with the URL etc.
How can I hide this when the FF window has only one tab, which is almost all the time for me?

Lately (couple of months), when two or more firefox tabs or windows are open, I get a vertical list with those open windows but beneath it a complete list of empty entries (even more than there are processes in the task manager ...).
When I restart Windows it goes away for a while. But sometimes returns, I feel it is related to Windows updates as I have the feeling it started with a Windows update, went away with an update and is now back with an update. But that is just a feeling.

I upgraded my Dell PC to Windows 11 yesterday via Windows Update, since support for Windows 10 is ending. Now Firefox crashes often when I close the browser. Everything works fine while I'm using Firefox, it's only when I close the browser that sometime later I will get a crash message on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, and the problem persists. From what I can tell, there's some process which is ongoing after the browser is closed, which isn't terminating properly and that's why it's crashing. Hello, My firefox, I have from top to bottom, Tabs bar, search bar, bookmarks My problem is that the tabs are very large. I don't know how I did this.. partially because I had to enlarge type.. I like tabs to show what I'm on and go back and forth sometimes but would like to get them smaller. is that possible? IE: my Home button shows up as a Tab, so I can't even x out of it without firefox closing. I always thought my home button was just beside my bookmarks.. Oh well.. if someone has any ideas, please let me know.. Thanks in advance, Linda
