I’m running into a limitation with Firefox profiles involving the original Profile Manager (about:profiles) and the new Profiles menu in the toolbar.

I previously created multiple profiles using the original Profile Manager (about:profiles), for example profiles A, B, and C. These profiles still function normally and can be launched through about:profiles, but they do not appear in the new Profiles menu in the toolbar.

I also tried using the “Copy this profile” option available from the new Profiles menu. This made it clear that the feature does not work with profiles created via about:profiles. For example, when I open profile A, I expected that I could use “Copy this profile” to copy profile A into an existing profile like profile B (which was also created using about:profiles). However, this is not possible. Profiles A, B, and C remain isolated from the new Profiles menu and cannot be accessed, copied, or managed through it.

At the moment, profiles created with the original Profile Manager (about:profiles) can only be accessed through that manager and cannot be transferred into the new Profiles menu in the toolbar.

Is there an official fix or a workaround that achieves the same result—specifically, transferring or integrating all existing profiles created with the original Profile Manager (about:profiles) into the new Profiles menu accessible from the Firefox toolbar?

When i start fire fox it immediately opens 10 additional versions in the background which I can see in task manager and they take up a lot off memory. If i end task them they immediately come back. This only started recently. I noticed it because now when i open say a youtube video it shows it as number 4. This never happened before unless I had the same video open more than once.

If I can not stop this I will have to uninstall.

www.russellmoccasin.com won't load properly on any browser on my macbook pro running Mac OS 15.7.3. I don't have any browser extensions running, I've cleared my browser history, cookies, and cache. Still won't work. When I disabled javascript on safari and firefox, the website loaded perfectly. But I have to have JS running to use almost every other website on the internet, so what gives??

When I search a topic and a Youtube video appears in the searchbold text results it won't connect via the hyperlink to youTube. I doesn't give any message it just doesnt connect.

All bookmarks and history lost. Have spent over 2 hours following the steps outlined as a standard treatment for this problem, attributed to another program interfering with Firefox Profiles or bookmarks. Restarts of Firefox and PC failed to restore, Going to Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks fails because when you get to the Library window for Import or Restore and select profile (I show 3 right now, all tagged as .default), there is no way in the window to accomplish a restore. You can insert a profile in the open window but there is no way to activate the restore function. Likewise when I accessed the list of 15 prior bookmark files I had the same result with the restore window. The instructions do not make any sense to me. Need somebody to contact me directly and walk through problem via phone call.

I used to have an account with everything on it

I restarted my computer and now I cant access anything from my old account. I used my same email account as before. what do I do I lost eveything

Today following a brief power outage I was no longer able to sign in to AOL with Firefox on my desktop computer. I am able to sign in to all other apps with no problem. I tried clearing my cache, restarted Firefox, restarted my computer and spent 30 minutes on remote desktop access assistance with AOL trying to fix the problem with no success. I can log in to my account using Chrome on the desktop computer and can log in with no problem using my Android phone but can't log in using my desktop computer with Firefox. I've verified that my Firefox version is updated. I am running Windows 11 Pro.

I would greatly appreciate any helpful advice.

Every few days the sidebar reappears.

I DO NOT WANT to use the AI chatbot.

Having tabs from other devices is all that useful to me. It feels like something that's just there to justify the AI chatbot bar existing.

I can access bookmarks and history from the toolbar. Don't need a new sidebar for that. They don't justify your stupid AI chatbot bar.

I DO NOT WANT TO USE YOUR AI CHATBOT. YOUR SIDEBAR IS LITERRALY NO DIFFERENT FROM A POP UP ADVERT. SO STOP HAVING IT POP UP AGAIN AND AGAIN.

when I click the mic it says enable microphone permissions but where I find that in firefox settings it needs to ask for permission I can't just enable it. So how do I get the mic to work for more chatbot?

I no longer have access to the primary account email. I went under "manage account" tried to make the secondary email my primary, Firefox sends verficiation code to my primary email. I do not have access to that email.

Please help.

Firefox displays some search results in French. Microsoft Edge shows results only in English. Firefox settings are for English. Google settings are for English. How to fix Firefox or should I uninstall, then reinstall Firefox? Rick

I recently got a large (30") 4k monitor because I have been having trouble reading text. But Firefox has become practically unusable.

Some sites display with giant text, and I have to press ctrl-minus several times to fit them on the screen.

Meanwhile, the text in the Bookmarks bar, tabs, and URL window are unreadably small.

I tried about:config and layout.css.devPixelsPerPx, which currently seems to have a NEGATIVE value of -1.5. Per directions, I changed it to 1.5. NOTHING. NO CHANGE.

Then I found an endless series of possible fixes, all involving similarly opaque and obscure and user-unfriendly steps.

I might have to abandon Firefox, after all these years, over this. Anybody got a simple fix?

(I now see that I'm actually having the same problem in Windows Explorer, so maybe that's where I need to go to fix this.)

I'm using Windows 11 with the latest version of Firefox.

A few days ago I went to addictinggames.com and had no problem playing several games. Today I went there and every game I tried I received the following error "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

Then I went to the site using Microsoft Edge and had no problems, every game I tried worked fine.

In Firefox I disabled both Adblocker Ultimate and Ghostery (My only extensions). Before I went to the site I deleted cookies and Temporary Internet Files and I still got the same error. Any ideas?

I have lost all bookmarks on a new laptop. Recently added C Cleaner and did a scan. That may have caused the problem. But, now I cannot recover the bookmarks, nor can I save new bookmarks. The version of Firefox on my android phone has the bookmarks. I can see them. But, I do not see a way to sync the devices and import the data to my laptop.

Please advise.
