Only use computer for emails , looking at News and few other basics. Do not understand computer jargon . Am retired and live in Greece but kept BTmail address to keep in touch with friends . Can't access emails , keeps timing out . Have read a few advice sites as see it's not uncommon , but I haven't a clue what they're talking about . Contacted BT but told to phone 0800 number which is not possible from here . Think their helpers have a check list, and useless with idiots like me who have no idea what they're on about . Chat was a total waste of time. Thank you

Sorry to hear about your problems .....

Apart from the fact that Windows Vista is no longer supported : Firefox doesn't 'do' email.

You said that you have chatted with BT - have you tried to contact them here : https://www.bt.com/help/home/#/  ?

In case you're using Thunderbird, you could post your question here :
