Bookmark manager - lost its icons (in v45)

Hello

Since upgrade to v45 from v41, Bookmark manager is very hard to read. It took me a few days to work out, I think the missing is icons e.g. folder icons, and also maybe lines.

In my prior version, v41, I never experienced it hard to read. I have not changed my folder naming or orders. Now I cringe each time I try and read it.

Is this a planned change or another upgrade from v41 to v45 glitch? I disabled my bookmark related addons and it remained.

Developer informed its a glitch in current CTR addon not being fully cool with osx.

So in the CTR addon when this preference setting is selected GeneralUI FavIcons (scroll down to end of list to see this parameter) please see screenshot

If this setting is NOT set to default, then the bookmark manager folder icons disappear.

If this is on default, then for all the fav icons that have no icon, you get the world icon not my preferred, "blank with dash line".

Will be fixed I was told on CTR support forum.

There should be little yellow folders, at least judging by how it looks on Window.

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode in case it is an extension you didn't manually disable? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates ALL extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the option key when starting Firefox. (Windows: hold down the Shift key)

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

yes the icon folders are there in safe mode. I am in safe mode now. amazing the difference on ease of reading those icons make.

OK, worked out it happens when I reenable CTR addon. geez... Will post issue in their support form.
