First, I have searched through the various posts and the knowledgebase. None of these addressed or solved my problem.

I have several email accounts that I have set up in Thunderbird.

I have verified all the settings and they are correct. I checked and verified that Thunderbird is not being blocked by my anti--virus or the firewall.

Yesterday, it was working! Today not only do I not receive emails, I cannot reply to one I received yesterday. I attempted to send a test email to another account and I received an error message stating: "Sending of message failed. An error occurred sending mail: Could not get password for [domain.com.] The message was not sent."

I then went in to my account on the server and changed the password for the account - in hopes that when I restarted Thunderbird it would request the new password. Unfortunately, it did not?

I am uncertain what the trouble is or how to fix. Any assistance is greatly welcomed

have you turned your device off, and removed the battery, for a couple of minutes to ensure a cold start?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I completely turned of my laptop, disconnected the power, removed the battery and reinstalled then restarted - still Thunderbird does not work?
