Hi! I am a tax accountant. Considering updating from Thunderbird 97.0b3(64 bit) to latest non-beta version. Is this feasible? Is there a separate/special update process from Beta to the latest? Also would like to continue to use my POP account set-up at Optimum(Cablevision) here on Long Island. Email (Outbound)SMTP and (inbound)POP mail servers have to remain the same. So initially , I have to backup all my existing Thunderbird data & Profile.

I have used Thunderbird for a long time; previously used Eudora. The problem which I am trying to prevent is that when I try to send a client their encrypted PDF of their tax returns and related instructions, etc. my document database or data magt system, namely File Cabinet Solutions show in the activity log "Waiting for user input" --- so no email is created which would have all the requisite documents attached. The last time helpful client send feature worked in my tax software, Ultratax, was June 27, 2025. Ultratax could not figure a solution, after several weeks & suggested that I upgrade my Thunderbird.. Can anyone help?

I have many - sqlite - various addresses on my computer, can I delete these? I am being told by Microsoft that I am out of storage and I need to delete some items.

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. I don't understand the problem. My accessing Firefox has become limited. I received a note to Upgrad to windows 11... I hae already upgraded. What must I do too have it recognised?

1/19/26 I have used Firefox for years and now it looks like Microsoft Bing has taken over and I cannot get Firefox back. It installs to a certain point and stops. Can you help me? email: [edited email from community support forum]

I am on an iPad mini. My familysearch.org site just told me to update Firefox. That‘s what I tried to do in following the given link. That link lead me to the apple page to download Firefox. I pushed the download button and assumed it downloaded. But then I miss the install Button. Now I am stuck. My fear is, that your latest update will not work with my IOS-version. And my older iPad is already on its most up-to-date level. Can you help?

Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to 11. Today I discovered my Local Folders are not visible. Searching tells me the messages still exist, but TB does not show the folders. I did the same upgrade a month ago on a laptop (Windows 10 Pro to 11), no problems. I didn't externally back up the messages as I am a dinosaur and don't know how, but at least they are still on the hard drive. Thousands of them though so I need the local folders back. Tried all the fixes I can find on the Community Forum, without success. Can anyone help please? Bob

Your article about the expiration of Windows 10 says that anyone that has FireFox on the Release Channel doesn't have to worry, that updates will continue to support Windows 10. I don't know what that means (Release Channel). And how can I check if that's what I have?

When l look at Settings>Updates>Check for updates: I am usually presented with an update such as the one just now: Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - k32267602 (version 1.443.4.0) current channel (broad) completed00 -

After checking for updates I will then go to SETTINGS> IT clearly shows that I am running Windows 11 PRO.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY IN PLACES THAT ARE TRACKING ME AND TAKING MY PERSONAL INFORMATI0N, THAT IT SH0WS OR SAYS THAT I am running Windows 10? I often see it if I sign into one of the many different accounts that require 2 factor authentication, which will send me a notification alerting me that someone has signed into my account from a NEW DEVICE. OR FROM AN UNKNOWN DEVICE. That is when they ask if I recognize this login and it shows device and location from which the login attempt is happening. IF I answered honestly, (because it is showing a login attempt happening from a (WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM) and my system shows Me that it is running Windows 11 PR0: it would flag as suspicious and my account would get locked up for sure. Instead, because of the odd hour of the night it occurs, that combined with the location I know it is myself and even though it says "ON A SYSTEM RUNNING WIND0WS 10", I force myself to lie and answer that I do recognize the attempt. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP FIND A SOLUTI0N TO THIS ERROR. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
