I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. I don't understand the problem. My accessing Firefox has become limited. I received a note to Upgrad to windows 11... I hae already upgraded. What must I do too have it recognised?

1/19/26 I have used Firefox for years and now it looks like Microsoft Bing has taken over and I cannot get Firefox back. It installs to a certain point and stops. Can you help me? email: [edited email from community support forum]

I am on an iPad mini. My familysearch.org site just told me to update Firefox. That‘s what I tried to do in following the given link. That link lead me to the apple page to download Firefox. I pushed the download button and assumed it downloaded. But then I miss the install Button. Now I am stuck. My fear is, that your latest update will not work with my IOS-version. And my older iPad is already on its most up-to-date level. Can you help?

Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to 11. Today I discovered my Local Folders are not visible. Searching tells me the messages still exist, but TB does not show the folders. I did the same upgrade a month ago on a laptop (Windows 10 Pro to 11), no problems. I didn't externally back up the messages as I am a dinosaur and don't know how, but at least they are still on the hard drive. Thousands of them though so I need the local folders back. Tried all the fixes I can find on the Community Forum, without success. Can anyone help please? Bob

Your article about the expiration of Windows 10 says that anyone that has FireFox on the Release Channel doesn't have to worry, that updates will continue to support Windows 10. I don't know what that means (Release Channel). And how can I check if that's what I have?

When l look at Settings>Updates>Check for updates: I am usually presented with an update such as the one just now: Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - k32267602 (version 1.443.4.0) current channel (broad) completed00 -

After checking for updates I will then go to SETTINGS> IT clearly shows that I am running Windows 11 PRO.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY IN PLACES THAT ARE TRACKING ME AND TAKING MY PERSONAL INFORMATI0N, THAT IT SH0WS OR SAYS THAT I am running Windows 10? I often see it if I sign into one of the many different accounts that require 2 factor authentication, which will send me a notification alerting me that someone has signed into my account from a NEW DEVICE. OR FROM AN UNKNOWN DEVICE. That is when they ask if I recognize this login and it shows device and location from which the login attempt is happening. IF I answered honestly, (because it is showing a login attempt happening from a (WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM) and my system shows Me that it is running Windows 11 PR0: it would flag as suspicious and my account would get locked up for sure. Instead, because of the odd hour of the night it occurs, that combined with the location I know it is myself and even though it says "ON A SYSTEM RUNNING WIND0WS 10", I force myself to lie and answer that I do recognize the attempt. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP FIND A SOLUTI0N TO THIS ERROR. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I want to confirm that Mozilla Firefox is my default browser. I want it to appear when I start up my computer and have it appear on my screen when I'm at rest. But first, I need to set the page up again.

(When I hit "browse" below, Firefox does not appear. My documents file opens up, wanting to save something to a file or folder.)

I've been tasked with removing Firefox from all Windows workstations in our enterprise environment. Our users don't have local admin, so when they install Firefox, it is installed in the user's profile.

I've just installed Firefox 143.0.1 in my own user profile for testing purposes. However, when I attempt to uninstall, either from Control Panel or by running %localappdata%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe manually, UAC prompts for elevation, even though I installed without elevating.

I've dug in a bit more, and I found this was an issue five years ago as well:

According to that post, the issue was resolved, but it seems to have come back.

This refurbished laptop was purchased from Best Buy in August 2022 with a Windows 10 OS. When a free upgrade was offered by Microsoft to Windows 11, it was accepted. Why are there no drivers with a version 11 prefix?

i AM SHOWING 2 FIREFOX ICONS ON MY TASK BAR --THIS HAPPENED SUDDENLY ! I checked the apps and it shows 1 for firefox which is X64EN-US 322 MB--I did not uninstall,so what can I do to solve this ?

Once again, when I updated Firefox, it changed a LOT of my settings, including displaying the toolbar and open tabs bar.

When this happened last - months ago - it seems Mozilla realized this had happened to a lot of users, and managed to restore us to all the information that had been "lost".

I hope you can do that again, and can find a way to not put at least ME, and I'd bet a lot of other users, through the OMG!!! What do I do NOW?! panic.
