I realize that I can select all the messages in either the trash or the spam folder and then delete them, but the empty trash button does not work in version 21.0. it worked perfectly in the prior versions.

The options for my folders are all generic

I am using a Gmail account

I have folders

Specific folders

They only option Thunderbird is giving me is none

Storage always full with only 100 or so e mails in my in box No junk or spam or anything else No one else in the company has this problem but me and my storage is getting smaller and smaller . I do more e mails then anyone but am always full with less than 200 e mails

Hi - I created folders for important emails and placed them in there over the past few years. The folders remain but the emails have all disappeared. I'm hoping its an easy retrieval.

I am using a Samsung S22 android and Thunderbird 20.1. My email server is Xfinity (comcast.net) and set on imap: smtp.comcast.net; SSL/TLS; port 465; auth: normal password

When outgoing emails are somewhat large, or sometimes for no reason at all, the outgoing emails get stuck in the OUTBOX. No amount of clicking on "Send messages" works, nor does sending them to DRAFTS and re-sending them. They again get stuck in the outbox. I have changed the port #s to no avail. My desktop Thunderbird HAS NO OUTBOX !! Why is that? Consequently, no emails get stuck, no matter how large or small. I've tried everything and searched everywhere.... no help.

Apologies if this is going over old ground. I've tried the usual Repair Folder fix without success and I'm cautious about trying anything further without some expert input for fear of doing more damage.

Thunderbird version: 140.12.1esr (64-bit) Windows version: 11 Server type: POP, messages not left on server Inbox " Folder properties" reports: 16384 messages. 13.8GB on disk

The Entire contents of Inbox disappeared after the following sequence of actions: 1. Tagging a selection of messages (in Inbox). 2. Making only those tagged messages visible (using Quick Filter). 3. Selecting all of the visible messages (select first, shift-select last). 4. Deleting the selected messages (Del key) The intended messages were successfully moved to the Deleted folder.

The Inbox now appeared empty. At this point only tagged messages were set to be visible but these had been deleted so an empty Inbox pane seemed correct. Resetting the tags visibility of Quick Filter did not make the messages reappear.

The messages are however visible and openable when doing either a straight folder search or when using a search folder. Inbox Folder Properties reports that the messages are still present and the reported size on disk seems appropriate for the number of messages.

Messages in all of the other folders are visible.

At this point I did a complete Export of the profile. When I discovered that Windows would not recognise the resulting .zip file I also did a straight copy of the Inbox file within the profile folder to a safe location (I understand that the export .zip file is intended for re-import to Thunderbird and that Windows might not recognise it).

I then did a Repair Folder (within Folder Properties dialogue). This made no difference although the size of the Inbox.msf file reduced dramatically (I didn't make a note of the before and after sizes).

I then quit and restarted Thunderbird several times. This at first made no difference. After perhaps 3 or 4 restarts however a relatively small number of files have reappeared in Inbox (a tiny percentage of the correct total). Curiously, most of these (but not all) are marked as spam. Ordinarily I would delete all messages marked as spam but there are probably some that I have missed. It looks rather as if the files which are now visible in Inbox are ALL of the spam messages plus a handful of others. Of the 172 messages which are now visible they were initially correctly reported in the folder pane as being 172 unread messages.

Another strange thing is that when selecting the Inbox on the folder pane, the small number of messages which become visible only appear after a delay of perhaps 10 seconds (previously this was instantaneous). When selecting any other folder, the messages are displayed instantly.

I'm not quite sure what best to do next. I haven't yet tried deleting the Inbox.msf file. Any wisdom will be gratefully received.

Just checking when ThunderMail and Pro will be available? I'm in need of email services for my small business and just don't want to subscribe to Google. I love Thunderbird, glad it survived so many transformations over decades and would like my subscription contribute to further development.

Can you, please provide me with at least estimated timeline?

Had one account. Imported perfectly. Added another, only Inbox and Trash added (later Drafts when I composed a new email)

Where are all the account folders ?

Thunderbird used to have a small counter which showed the progress of moving emails from one folder to another. Really useful when moving emails into local folders. Could you please restore this in an update -- or is there an add-on?

I changed Google accounts from mine to my husband's so that I could find a certain email. Finished and signed back into my Google account. Shut everything and went to my Thunderbird. My entire inbox of emails for my gmail account were not there. Why would I lost those if I was not dealing with Thunderbird, but Google online?? Google online only shows those emails that I haven't downloaded to Thunderbird. Google online did not show my current gmail Thunderbird Inbox, yet it's gone from Thunderbird. I'm sick about it... prescious emails lost. Is there any way to retrieve my Inbox?

Prelude:

1. I have several email addresses in Thunderbird.

ISSUE:

1. One address, the first on the list, Draft folder shows "1"
2. View email Shows "No message found"

QUESTION: I like to keep a tidy Thunderbird - how might I fix this issue?

After the latest update to the program I noticed that a previous folder is missing along with its saved emails. That folder still exists along with saved messages on the ISP server. This has happened previously and then re-appeared some months later, perhaps with an application update. The rest of my folders display properly along with their saved emails.

i used to have several folders, all mail, sent mail, drafts etc as subfolders under [gmail] but they have disappeared in my acwentz5@gmail.com account. i have another separate account acwentz@gmail.com and those folders are still there. also, on my iphone, both accounts have those folders. so, where are those folders on my desktop acwentz5@gmail.com account???

After I migrated everything to a different computer, 'Local folders' no longer appears in the side bar, so I cannot archive messages locally.

Can some kind person please help me to reinstate it?

Windooze 11. TBird 152.0 installed on June 20th. Now it seems like TBird is not displaying HTML emails properly. They are displayed but not at the beginning. The first line is sometimes just the bottom half of a sentence in the email (if that makes sense). I can't scroll back to the beginning. If I go to outlook and display the same email it displays fine.

Did something change in 152.0 to cause this?

Does Thunderbird have disc storage space limit and if so how do I know what my limit is and how much is used? When I just sent an email, a popup said it could not be saved to the local sent folder because maybe I reached my storage limit. But I cannot find anywhere that shows me what my storage limit is or how much I have used. I appreciate any help you can offer, Thank you.

I have a brand new windows desktop. i installed thunderbird 153.0. setup email account. can send and received emails ok. cannot get imap folders. have tried everything. i can see the imap folders on other devices, my iphone and also on another windows laptop. cannot find any folders. i installed google chrome first. is it possible that it has blocked folder display on my email.
