I recently installed Thunderbird on a tablet running W11. I have 5 email accounts with a common domain name. I want to install two of them on the tablet. The first one went smooth. I can't get to a window to install the second one. I get a window which asks for my name and email account but no place to put password. If I push "Next" button, I get a spinning wheel which goes on forever and does nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Greetings, about 3 days ago I lost my ability to download my email through thunderbird. All I get on my screen is a Thunderbird message to donate, participate, etc. I have gone through many of the links but have no information about contacting someone to help me to do what I need to do to download my emails, other than this. Please help me to restore my email sign to Thunderbird so I can regain my client status. It has worked for about a year but ATT and Yahoo have changed the sign in process. Thanks for your help!

I had to change my password on spectrum. I can get emails on spectrum site but now my thunderbird doesn't accept my new password.

Help! When I signed into this site, I used the new password. Will Thunderhbird now recognize it.

I am not tech savey and this is frustrating. Thank you.

I have an e-mail in my TB in-box. The mail contains a hyperlink to Facebook. When I click on the hyperlink, I get the message copied above in the Subject of this problem. In almost all cases, if I re-click on the icon in the e-mail, the re-click takes me to the desired URL in Firefox. My Thunderbird is 128.11.1esr (64-bit). Why is the first click producing the error message? Would there be anything in the TB Error Console?

Our incoming server settings have stopped working in Thunderbird but work in Outlook. This happened after the 140.0.1 update was installed on several machines. Outgoing server settings are the same in thunderbird & outlook. Thunderbird version 128.12.0 works as it should.

I need to copy my Thunderbird profile from my Linux partition to the MSWindows one. All the tutorials I've seen claim I can just let MSWin create it's AppData directories, exit TB, then copy my profile and profile.ini over to there.

Doesn't work. It ignores my existing profile and starts creating a new one, and wants me to enter a new account. have 10 different accounts, filters, and other customizations, and I am *NOT* going to manually recreate everythin

This morning, all of a sudden, Thunderbird can't connect to my email server, which is Comcast (Xfinity). I keep getting the message "Unable to connect" and "An error occurred during connection to localhost." I have not made any changes to my account settings, and I was able to connect to the email via the Xfinity email site (although I have no connection to my local folders that way). This has come at a critical time, due to some health and family issues. How can I get this back?

I am trying to save a template and TB (141.00) keeps saving it in the 'Local Folders' template subfolder. I found this archived thread about this issue: https://support.mozilla.org/km/questions/1420516

I have changed the target folder to the appropriate account subfolder, closed/restarted TB, and this behavior persists. Anybody got a solution?

I am trying to setup my email on Thunderbird android but auto configuration is not working it is however working fine on desktop. It is my own domain email and I have set up the DNS settings correctly following the below guides.

I just added a new email server to handle my mail. It is a local hosting company that I use. I already have another email address with them. When I added the new account I noticed that the Sent and Drafts folders were missing under the 'Inbox'. Image 1 shows how the existing email account is setup with the drafts, sent and Junk folders under Inbox. The image 2 shows how the new account is showing up, no drafts or sent folders.

I am subscribed to them all.

How to get the Drafts and Sent folders under Inbox?

I have multiple email accounts. One of them has a message filter that checks to see if the sender is in a particular address book and if it is the message is Moved to a different account. That part works fine. My question is why the Moved messages are also getting Copied into that accounts Sent mail folder ? I look at it as I moved it, I didn't send it to the other account. Thanks

In earlier TB releases (don't remember which ones) it was possible to collapse (or expand) all (sub-)folders by right clicking the foldername.

Actually I'm on TB128 and that seems no longer possible (or I am overlooking something).

I've been searching everywhere, also for an addon to do that, without success. Is there a solution ?

I really don't understand why this was removed. Why is TB always changing (and removing essential) things, mostly not for the better ? Mozilla, please, less "design" but more "functionality" and "user-friendly features"

Ich nutze Thunderbird seit Jahrzehnten. Nun ist mir zum zweiten Mal etwas passiert, das zum Verlust meiner eingehenden E-Mails geführt hat. Ich habe die Komprimmierungsanfrage bestätigt, und danach war der Sendeordner leer, und die Daten eines Jahres waren weg. Eine Reparatur ist nicht möglich, IMAP-Konto. Letztes Jahr passierte dasselbe, E-Mails von vor 10 Jahren waren verschwunden, nur im Sendeordner. Alle anderen Ordner sind in Ordnung. Was ist das Problem? Nie wieder Komprimierung zulassen? Das ist unglaublich ärgerlich. Viele Dinge sind unersetzlich. Wie kann ich das in Zukunft verhindern? Warum betrifft das nur den Sendeordner eines Kontos?

I've been using Eudora for almost 30 years but from time to time checked Thunderbird too because Eudora was discontinued in 2006. so I have to use the OAUTH proxy running on another computer in local network.

I have now installed Thunderbird 141.0 and configured IMAP accounts for one email account I have since Yahoo! Mail's first days in 1997. and the one I have since gmail's first days in 2004.

Everything seems to be working correctly but there is one thing I can't figure out why it is happening.

I have the same signature containing an 18x18 pixel .gif configured in both Eudora and Thunderbird and they both display correctly on the recipient's side and on gmail's webmail.

The problem is - every such an email sent by Thunderbird is at gmail's webmail recognized as "containing attachment" and is marked with a paperclip icon which is not the case when email is sent with Eudora.

The consequence is - it now looks on the gmail's webmail as every single email that I ever send via Thunderbird has an attachment which prevents noticing the messages that really do have an attachment.

I don't see any way of inserting code tags here on the forum to post the HTML code of the signatures sent by Eudora and by Thunderbird once the email arrives into gmail's Sent folder so I am sending the screenshot.

The upper HTML is how signature looks like in online gmail's Sent mailbox > Show Original when sent by Eudora and below there is how it looks like when sent by Thunderbird.

I do NOT want to use an image from online URL with moz-do-not-send="true" tag. I want to use the .gif file from my hard disk sent in such a way it wouldn't be (by gmail's webmail) marked as an attachment and in a such way the image used for signature would be part of the message body - exactly what works well when using Eudora.

When the message is downloaded for offline reading the image used in the signature should NOT be "remote content", it should be part of the message.

I.changed my password but not taking it how do I get into my. account on thunderbolt to enter it for my Yahoo account a box opens up to. enter but never takes the password can i go somewhere ekse in Thunderbird to add it.

In Thunderbird, I have 2 feeds accounts with many subscriptions to various blogs. When archiving a blog post, the message used to go in a local folder in <FEEDS_ACCOUNT>/Archives/<YEAR>.

Recently I migrated to Thunderbird 140.0.1 and now 141.0 and I now face a problem when archiving messages from feeds accounts specifically. When attempting to archive, a message either goes to <MAIN_EMAIL_ACCOUNT>/Archives/<YEAR> or stays were it is but the folder <MAIN_EMAIL_ACCOUNT>/Archives/<YEAR> gets created.

While it is clear where to configure the archive setting for an email account, I cannot find the equivalent settings for Feeds accounts.

Is this a bug or something wrong with my configuration?

We are using Thunderbird's latest version. The problem has been consistent through the last year or so's different version. We can easily add and apply tags but when we try to remove them they all re-appear again across all machines. We are using the Owl add-on and an Exchange service via our email provider. There seems to have been a bug in Thunderbird for some time which hasn't been resolved. When copying and pasting it doesn't work on the first attempt but does on the second. I was hoping it would be sorted and have now got fed up with it and posted this. I couldn't find anywhere to just make a report about it.
