Hallo und guten Tag, ich habe seit Ende September ein großes Problem. Wir sind 3 Personen die zusammen auf einen Emailaccount zugreifen. Bisher haben wir Schlagwörter nutzen können um den anderen mitzuteilen, dass die Email bearbeitet wurde usw. Nun synchronisieren die Schlagwörter nicht mehr und alles versinkt im Chaos. Können Sie mir helfen? Gibt es eine Einstellung die ich machen muss? Emailaccount ist bei Ionos.

Since moving to Windows 11 and reinstalling Thunderbird, I cannot access emails by this route. I have a domain hosted by Easily and can get to my emails directly through their Control Panel, but using the same email, password, ports etc through TB it fails to find the account. I have rechecked all the settings with Easily and tried several times entering them manually in TB, with the same result. What else can I do?

What will Thunderbird do if I delete a folder which sorting rule in Thunderbird should move message? I need an answer which actual for Thunderbird versions 40 and higher. Thanks.

I have rule to move messages from Inbox to user created folder. I want to move all messages from this folder and delete empty folder. How will work work? Will stay messages in Inbox? Yes I want to stay messages in Inbox.

Why can I not delete rule? There are case when I have no access to machine with Thunderbird and rule, when I use browser to manage my mailbox.

My setup is an old win7

2 days ago I got a power outage. When I turned my PC back on, thunderbird updated itself to 115.16.3 (32 bits) I am not sure which version it previously was.

Anyway, I have 4 profiles, the 3 profiles I was not connected on when the PC crashed are fine, totally unaffected. That should be a hint. My main profile was connected at the time, in fact I was writing an email when the crash occured. When back on I executed thunderbird I chose my main profil. I was immediately prompted with a 'welcome to thunderbird' asking me to input my credencials. I immediately closed TB scanned my disk for issues, checked my profiles folder which appeared to be fine. I indeed have a folder named hnych9cb.default in my %APPDATA%\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles which is was 2.2Go.

Then I had the (bad?) idea to input my credencials as asked thinking it might help TB to connect to the folders/emails inside my profile folder. I did but instead it downloaded and displayed the folders/emails as they are on my email server and now my hnych9cb.default is 3.7Go ....

This is a mess

Is there any way or hint to save the day ?

Since installing thunderbird, following failure of my Outlook email manager I have been unable to print an email attachment using the system dialog option and also unable to print in draft format to save on ink.

Any suggested fix?

For some reason I have recently started to be unable to view images in emails.

Various image types such as JPG or PNG do not show & I get an error message like this one:

You have chosen to open:

What should Thunderbird do with this file?

    O Open with
    O  Save File
    [ ] Do this automatically for files like this from now on.

This is a big Thunderbird Portable 128.4.3 32 Bit Install with many years of emails.

Came back from an errand earlier this morning and after turning on my Mac again, found that Thunderbird 115.10.1 was prompting me for my username and password at the web page for my account, using a pop-up Safari window. But trying to do that doesn't work because my version of macOS is not supported by Yahoo! Mail anymore.

So I tried deleting the account and adding it back, since this is the very first time it's ever done this, but that doesn't work, either, because Thunderbird still prompts me for the same username and password using the same Safari window that won't work anymore.

Tried updating Thunderbird to 115.16.3, but that makes no difference; still can't send or receive email.

Who's idea was this, and why did nobody consider that web sites have dropped support for many older browsers that can't be upgraded, and give you no option to use a browser of your choice that would work for this, even though it should never be required?

How do I (or others that are affected) solve this problem once and for all?

I've recently been experiencing a new problem with Thunderbird. As soon as I click on a subfolder in the left column that is bolded to indicate the presence of an unread email, the unread email immediately disappears. I can usually find it in either the Junk folder or in Trash. Is this possibly a bug in the latest update?

I am trying to setup an email account through Spectrum. My user name and password are correct, so I think the problem is in the server settings. Thunderbird has the settings as "mobile.charter.net". I have checked with Spectrum and this is correct. But Thunderbird says that something is still incorrect. Any advice on what I should do?

There a $21.40 charge on my CC statement for MZLA Thunderbird email. I had no idea who or what Thunderbird was until looking online. Found the website and saw Thunderbird is a "free" email app. My Verizon rep added it to my new iPhone 16 when it wouldn't send emails via my normal email provider (breezeline.net). I was not told the app was being installed, or that there is a fee for use it. He handed me back my phone and I saw a new gmail account had been added. What is the charge for? And why was I charged?

Min mail er post@heidi-moh.no Denne mail adressen bruker jeg på mine Apple produkter ! Men på min laptop Asus blir det bare kluss med den nye outlook! Håper dere kan hjelpe meg med dette?

Help! Why are my gmail emails inbox and sent not showing up since 11/18/24 ?? I have shut down several times now. I have attached a screen shot of my server settings. Does that show something? Im running windows 7 professional Thank you!

I'm having trouble authenticating and signing into Thunderbird with my work Gmail.

IMAP is already enabled and I've tried doing advanced configuration and changing both the inbound and outgoing server with OAuth2 authentication methods and still unable to connect.

I've tried multiple things found on threads and the community page here. Any potential solutions I should first be checking? Thanks for your help!

I have discovered that the emails in Thunderbird I have saved from earlier in 2024 are listed in Thunderbird but do not open for my talk talk and gmail accounts. Also some even older emails still open and some do not. How can I access them again via Thunderbird? I have attached two screen shot as an example to show how they are listed and what happens when I open the email.

Thunderbird is not working anymore. I can start writing an email but after about 5 min it dont take any characters any more. Its lagging and does out. Its in the draft folder and I ry to open but it will not work. If I just write a short message its no problem but as soon as I start write longer messages it will be trouble. It doesnt help restarting the computor. I use win 7 and the latest version. The problem started about a week ago. Writing this is no problem but if I would do it in Thunderbird it will not work by this long in the text. Best regards Stefan stefan@besthe.se
