I updated my firefox browser on October 6th and ever since then, whenever I press ALT to switch to a different application (I use ALT + Tab to switch windows) I go back in a tab's history. This never happened before and I'm not sure how to go about disabling whatever function this is. I've checked in the about:config section of firefox but I don't know which of these options is for this function, if it's even in here. Any advice or help would be appreciated!

Firefox used to close completely when I close the last tab. The last update broke that behavior. How can I get it back the way it was? This new behavior is sick!!!

Hi! I'm on a relatively new to me (refurb) desktop computer running Win 10 Pro (64 bit)* and Firefox 143.0.3.

In the past week both Firefox and Win 10 have updated. I don't know what happened, but now when I boot up or reboot, my computer opens to MS Edge. Yuck!

Every single time I have to reinstall Firefox! Once I do that, all is well again. I have all my bookmarks back, etc.

It also keeps changing my "default to Firefox" browser setting, turning it OFF, while I'm using Firefox. I repeatedly have to keep going in and clicking to make FF to the default browser again.

Why is it doing this? How do I stop it?

Anyway, I know I can't delete Edge or uninstall it. How do I shove it back into the black hole it has lived in until now?

is there a way to prevent HTTP Basic Authentication dialog from stealing focus in about:config? It can be really annoying if a site logs me out randomly while working in another tab. Chromium browsers does not do that
