So I'm trying to apply a configuration profile in Microsoft Intune that enforces managed policies for Firefox. I have 40 different OMA-URI settings configured for it, 39 of which apply and report as "Succeeded". I can verify that these are working on a test device.

The problematic setting that is not applying to the test device is "ManagedBookmarks". It is reporting with an Error.

Here is the setting for the particular policy:

I have anonymized a couple of the above bookmarks for privacy. I will note, I have also tried to nest the bookmark items as child items under the toplevel_name (with the correct JSON formatting of course). This also failed to deploy the policy.

Am I missing something here? I am trying to follow the documentation at https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/v6.3/docs/index.md#managedbookmarks to a T, but it still fails. Everything else works though!

I want to configure a guest account on a ubuntu system. This is done by configuring a standard account and link the guest account to the standard account.

For firefox that means, that the .mozilla directory of the guest account points to the .mozilla-directory of the standard account. (The files in the standard account are not changes, so every new guest session starts with the same preconfigured environment.)

When starting firefox in the guest session, most of the settings, e.g. homepage, installed language packs, coockie settings, are recognized. Strange enough, the language packs have to be enabled again. Somehow firefox in the guest session realizes that firefox is run the first time in the newly created guest account. In my use case, firefox starts up in English because the German language pack is disabled. In the configured standard account the language packs are enabled, active, etc..

With thunderbird the behaviour is different: Copying the .thunderbird (or appdata/roaming/thunderbird-folder in Windows) leads to a completely configured thunderbird. No "first run"-questions or -settings have to be answered.

My questions are: 1) How does firefox realize that is has a "first run" situation? Why is copying the .mozilla-folder not enough for transfering the profile(s)? How can firefox be configured to use the existing .mozilla-directory without asking first run questions? 2) How can firefox in a first run situation (with complete profiles and correct profile.ini) be started with e.g. an enabled German language pack.

No changes been made to my Mozilla account unless Mozilla banned me for constructive criticism yesterday. Earlier today Oct 4, 24 booted up laptop no issues. 3 hours later from cold start issue.

My version of FF 131.0 updated yesterday indicates I'm not signed in. Repeated sign-in attempts successful only to be disconnected seconds later. No issues logging into Mozilla Monitor to see progress and navigate around without disconnection. On Android 11 cell phone no issues, on Asus tablet Android 7.0 no issues. What am I doing wrong or missing? See attached screen shots and browser data.

how do I actually turn this off? I work for realtors and am constantly filling out contracts with addresses, and doing address searches for them. I have "autofill addresses" turned off under Privacy and security, but it asks me EVERY time I fill out a contract if I want to save the address. I have to say "not now" easily twenty times during my work day. Am I missing something obvious? this has only become a problem in the last couple weeks or so, but I am starting to get frustrated. thanks so much! Nicole

My browser keeps crashing repeatedly without me seemingly doing anything to crash it. I ran it in troobleshoot mode and it crashed the same way. I ran anti viruses scans and got nothing. It crashes every 5 to 20 minutes and I can't do anything about it.

for some reason this last update is now blocking my banking website. They recently updated but i have not had trouble until Firefox updated. now i just get a Blank screen when i try to log in so SHOULD I CHANGE TO MICROSOFT EXPLORES AS MY MAIN BROWSER NOW SINCE MORE AND MORE OF MY BOOKMARKS ARE NO LONGER ACCESSIBLE USING FIREFOX?????

A couple of days ago Mozilla updated the home page. Even though I examined the spiel I now get MY Home page and a Mozilla page when I open up the computer. How do i get rid of the Mozilla page?

I am currently having an issue where 360 and vr videos are not showing properly on my Mozilla browser. They are able to play on Google Chrome, so I'm confident its not a hardware issue. But essentially, when I pull up a 360 video, the picture gets stuck on the first frame while the audio continues to play. Any support help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I had an issue with my Firefox app, so I deleted and redownloaded it thinking I would be able to log back in. When I logged back in, I discovered I lost all of my saved passwords, bookmarks, etc. It's like I had a new account created and I cannot find any of my previous information.

What happened and how can I get the last 5-10 years of my life back?

I am getting a frequent number of crashes even occurring during the "exit" process. The culmination of the dilemma is there is a problem in the submission of the crash reports generated. These reports always are not being submitted successfully; but I have submitted crash reports generated on 10/4/24 manually using "about:crashes" in FireFox [See uploaded image of ID's]. Your feedback on these issues are greatly appreciated

Upon startup, the Firefox screen flashes for ½ second but does not stay up. The Firefox "toolbar" stays up across the top, but there is no screen for the browser - just my desktop. I have had to change to Chrome to get online now.

This has been an issue for years and happened last about a month or two ago. I had to completely "uninstall" Firefox and install a new download of it, but lost most all of my settings, shortcuts, etc. Another time an Apple Mac update got it going again. Another time running "C-Cleaner" got it going again. I tried all of these things yesterday and nothing helped so had to go to Chrome.

I am not a computer genius and don't stream movies or anything like that. Mostly just email and shopping, checking websites, and You Tube. I just can't get Firefox to be reliable. Very frustrating!

I am having a problem with Release 131.0, apparently with cookies. When I try to access my bank account to pay bills at https://www.citizensbankonline.com/, I get the following error message.

This occurs on both my two laptops and my desktops which all run W10. For one of the laptops, it allowed access with the older version of FF until I let it update to R131.0, and now it gives the same error message. I have cleared all cookie checkboxes under "Custom", twice deleted all cookies, site data, and cache, restarted FF several times - each time deleting all cookies for citizens bank, and also tried running "Troubleshooting Mode." If I use MS Edge with default settings (I don't usually use this browser), then all works fine. Is there something else I can try, or is this a known issue with R131.0?

I have Firefox as my main web browser for many years. Yesterday, I couldn't open the browser. It instead creates crash report.

I have Dell desktop Intel Core i7-6700 CPU 3.40Ghz, 16 GB RAM

I use Windows system (Windows 10 Home).

I hate to remove and reinstall Firefox browser as I have saved many usernames, passwords, and websites.

Could you help me fixing the issue?

After clearing my Firefox cache with third-party software, the icons for website shortcuts on the Firefox Home page revert to the default icon (as shown in the image I uploaded). This is expected, as clearing the cache includes removing those saved websites icon.

To restore the actual website icons, I need to visit each specific site. My question is: is there a way to update these icons without having me to open each website in a new tab manually?
