After swapping to The Bat some years ago I decided to come back to Thunderbird again. So I installed Thunderbird 155.0.1 (64-bit) on my Windows 11 PC, and gradually re-created and connected the the accounts I had on the back. I also installed the ImportExportTools NG addon, then exported my emails from The Bat to Thunderbird. So far so good. However for some reason I created an account twice. There are both for the same GMX account, but one is POP and the other is iMAP. This mistake probably happened after a long session of setting things up and I just forgot about the first account.

I looked through the Thunderbird help and the answer most given was to the Thunderbird menu, select Account Settings, swap to the account you want to delete, and then press the large red DELETE BUTTON on the top level of its settings (next to the DEFAULT button). I've tried this and it doesn't work. There's no confirmation dialog (which is what I was expecting) and if I close and reboot Thunderbird the account is still there.

How can this be fixed?

I am 67, and have memory issues. I am not good at technology. I have all my apps on this computer. I have changed emails over the years, and passwords, but never had to worry since APPLE takes care of that for me.

Ever since you updated FireFox, everytime I shut down for the night, you sign me out of all my accounts, some I have not gotten back yet because of email changes and passwords. I am pissed and I want to know how do I STOP This. Please tell me FAST. I am not sure I can do this much longer and I may have to get rid of Firefox if this can not be done. Thank you for your quick reply... tonight I will have to live with the emf crap and keep the computer on to keep from signing out of my apps... PLEASE HURRY and tell me how to stop this. I want to say thanks but you caused all my problems....

when i work in any web page and i try to back to previous page browser disconnect the page and shows loading page error (problem loading page). Is this a browser problem or any network issue , after update this shows multiple times when i try to go to previous page . 'problem that i face ' Server Not Found

Firefox can’t connect to the server at scholarship.up.nic.in. What can you do about it?

Note that after the second dash in my address above, in the saved HTML Sig Card, the space is added. When I remove the space and re-save the Sig card, the space still returns.

Also note that this happens ONLY in the signature card. The addressing in the email itself is correct. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

now i am getting mail but my dad and my brother both said they are sending mail and it says undeliverable I tried sending to my self and it came through I have Thunderbird through Comcast. i see mail in Comcast that is coming through so i do not know why. the only thing i could think of was they tried yesterday when the update was going through i received a mail at 7.15 this evening so i have no idea why it would bounce back did nothing to change anything

I cannot open the email program with Thunderbird, I have trie to open it by pressing Shift and Thunderbird Icaon, thus the Repair menu opens, I have tried every combination in that , like starting in the secured modus, but it did not help, I have tried to delete the "parent-lock" data in %appadat%\Thunderbird\Profiles\ - it said that I cannot delete it,because it is opened in Thunderbird. Would you kindly help me? Thank you very much

Years ago when I was using Thunderbird there was "fix" for the Advance to next message pop-up, which appears when you press N or P to move to the next/previous message, and that message is on another account. If I remember correctly I think the fix was going into the "debug list" where you could change individual settings if you knew the name of the setting, and set it to off.

Anyway I couldn't find that list at all in the current version (probably a good thing). Is there a setting somewhere or fix where I can turn off this popup?

So I am trying to create a rule that will delete emails on the server that are 360 days or older.

I know you can go into settings...

But from what I have read that only deletes emails on server from when they were downloaded into thunderbird.

I am new to thunderbird so that wont work for me.

So I went into message filter....thinking this would work

I cannot log on to my Facebook account with Firefox. I get blocked when it demands a code from an authenticator app. which I don't have and the alternate logins do not work. I can log in using Chrome, disable 2fa, change my password, etc. and it doesn't seem to apply to my Facebook access on Firefox. I have one Facebook password when I use Firefox and another when I use Chrome. Is there some memory feature on Firefox that I don't know about

I use Firefox under Fedora (I'm two OS versions behind, must upgrade soon). I open very many tabs each day then work through them, theoretically every day, in practice they accumulate and I deal with them when I can. I rely on the tabs loading correctly on restart, but today they didn't, instead the set of tabs that were opened a few days ago loaded, and I lost everything I had done since then. Is there a way to retrieve the tabs that were opened just before this happened, ie around 15-20 hours ago? Ideally, again, I would merge them with the current ones, but reopening the old ones would take much much longer than reopening the new ones. Thank you for any advice.

I try to set up gmail but get the message "Error Creating Account Incoming server already exists."

I have my main Spectrum email set up fine but I have no idea where to even begin with setting up gmail since I get the message above.

On Thursday 3rd September 2026 Firefox stopped working. I tried lots of things to get it to work to no avail. Today, 8th September 2026, I had already deleted the Firefox that was already on my PC so I downloaded a fresh copy from the Firefox website and installed it. It ran perfectly for about 30 minutes then I shut it down. 5 Minutes later, a Firefox crash report appeared which I duly sent of. Checking Event Manager a string of error messages saying the same thing, Its the XUL.DLL file that keep crashing! This was the same file that caused the failure last week. I had made sure that XUL.DLL was not on the pc when I downloaded Firefox today. When I click on the Firefox icon it open but stays on a black lower half of the screen and boxes at the top, white lined but black and transparent lines moving left to right across them, eventually it fails and closes, after a few minutes it send the crash report. Its a shame because I have used Firefox for many, many years and now having to use Edge!!!!

When attempting to enter log in information automatically, the expected notification appears and is confirmed, but the "Logins & Passwords" repository remains empty.

When attempting to enter log in info manually, from the "Logins & Passwords"page, the error message "an error occurred while trying to save this password" pops up after filling the fields under "Create New Login" and hitting the "Save" button.

I know I'm working on borrowed time with this setup, but I'd like to squeeze as much life as I can out of this old Mac, and having a functioning password manager is high priority.

I've been a longtime Thunderbird user on my desktop (laptop actually). I'm wanting to start using Thunderbird on my Android phone.

What I understand so far is that both the desktop and mobile have to have the same settings if I want to be able to send/receive (and have records) on both setups. I also understand that I need use IMAP settings.

In my situation, I believe I set up my desktop to be POP but to leave messages on server until I deleted.

So, my questions are these: Do I need to delete my POP accounts on my desktop first before adding the IMAP version of the account? If not, I can simply add the new account along side and then delete the old account. If I do need to delete the account, does deleting the account delete the emails as well? And how do I transfer any emails or sent emails from the POP to the IMAP?

In as much as I have several accounts to transfer, I want to make sure my step-by-step works well for one then I can proceed to all the rest.
