After swapping to The Bat some years ago I decided to come back to Thunderbird again. So I installed Thunderbird 155.0.1 (64-bit) on my Windows 11 PC, and gradually re-created and connected the the accounts I had on the back. I also installed the ImportExportTools NG addon, then exported my emails from The Bat to Thunderbird. So far so good. However for some reason I created an account twice. There are both for the same GMX account, but one is POP and the other is iMAP. This mistake probably happened after a long session of setting things up and I just forgot about the first account.

I looked through the Thunderbird help and the answer most given was to the Thunderbird menu, select Account Settings, swap to the account you want to delete, and then press the large red DELETE BUTTON on the top level of its settings (next to the DEFAULT button). I've tried this and it doesn't work. There's no confirmation dialog (which is what I was expecting) and if I close and reboot Thunderbird the account is still there.

How can this be fixed?

I am 67, and have memory issues. I am not good at technology. I have all my apps on this computer. I have changed emails over the years, and passwords, but never had to worry since APPLE takes care of that for me.

Ever since you updated FireFox, everytime I shut down for the night, you sign me out of all my accounts, some I have not gotten back yet because of email changes and passwords. I am pissed and I want to know how do I STOP This. Please tell me FAST. I am not sure I can do this much longer and I may have to get rid of Firefox if this can not be done. Thank you for your quick reply... tonight I will have to live with the emf crap and keep the computer on to keep from signing out of my apps... PLEASE HURRY and tell me how to stop this. I want to say thanks but you caused all my problems....

when i work in any web page and i try to back to previous page browser disconnect the page and shows loading page error (problem loading page). Is this a browser problem or any network issue , after update this shows multiple times when i try to go to previous page . 'problem that i face ' Server Not Found

   Check to make sure you’ve typed the website address correctly and try again in a few moments.

Years ago when I was using Thunderbird there was "fix" for the Advance to next message pop-up, which appears when you press N or P to move to the next/previous message, and that message is on another account. If I remember correctly I think the fix was going into the "debug list" where you could change individual settings if you knew the name of the setting, and set it to off.

Anyway I couldn't find that list at all in the current version (probably a good thing). Is there a setting somewhere or fix where I can turn off this popup?

So I am trying to create a rule that will delete emails on the server that are 360 days or older.

I know you can go into settings...

But from what I have read that only deletes emails on server from when they were downloaded into thunderbird.

I am new to thunderbird so that wont work for me.

So I went into message filter....thinking this would work

I cannot log on to my Facebook account with Firefox. I get blocked when it demands a code from an authenticator app. which I don't have and the alternate logins do not work. I can log in using Chrome, disable 2fa, change my password, etc. and it doesn't seem to apply to my Facebook access on Firefox. I have one Facebook password when I use Firefox and another when I use Chrome. Is there some memory feature on Firefox that I don't know about

Hello, I accidentally disabled clipboard permissions on the site Magma.com and I am unable to find a way to enable it again in any of the settings. The site itself prompts me to find the clipboard icon, however, there isn't one.

When I save the bookmarks to the toolbar they work fine but when I close and reopen firefox they bookmarks don't work. They are there but inactive and do not work. How do I save bookmarks so they open everytime I open firefox?

How can I change an IMAP server on an existing T-bird account after T-bird deleted the saved password and IMAP server for that account? I tried to change the IMAP server address for an existing T-bird account, but T-bird and/or my ISP deleted the saved password and IMAP server entry for that account, so T-bird cannot get incoming E-mails. I would like to add an/the IMAP server back to the account without deleting the account, adding all of its settings again, and waiting 6 hours for T-bird to re-download all of the most recent 10,000 messages in the Inbox and all of the 15,000 messages in other folders again. The SMTP server and its saved password are still in the Saved Passwords table.

I'm only noticing it when using Facebook, but an Internet search says the setting is in my browser. I've now checked my Firefox settings and see nothing about it. Would appreciate help.

This afternoon, without any warning, all my mail in every folder could not be displayed. This is the second time this has happened in the last month and a half. I have two mail accounts - one that goes through Yahoo and the other Gmail. No mail is displayed in either account.

When I run Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode, the mail does display. I then disabled the few addons that I use but that didn't make any difference. When not in troubleshooting mode, no mail is displayed.

Of course, there's "troubleshooting information" but that's way too technical for me to get anything out of it.

I've been a Thunderbird user for over 20 years and I would like to keep using it but this performance is discouraging.

What do I need to do to get past this issue? I'm assuming I'll be able to read an email response by using troubleshooting mode.

Hey everyone

I need to remove the line that is added when you reply to emails. It adds added steps when cutting and pasting when I quoting emails when replying.

I have multiple profiles with multiple emails in each profile.

I found a thread here dated 2016 that instructed to add this to the css file.

I didn't have en excisting css file I could fine so I created a folder. >chrome > and put a userContent.css file within that.

In TB 155.01 when I click on Delete the email leaves my Inbox but does not display in the Deleted folder. If I look at Properties in the Deleted folder it shows the correct number of messages in there but the messages themselves do not show in the right hand window. Thus there is no way of seeing what the messages are, just the total quantity in the folder.
