Where are my bookmarks and tools? I have downloaded Firefox a 2nd time and they don't appear to be anywhere that I can see.
When I turned on my computer this morning {it's a laptop with windows bought in 2007 and no it doesn't have vista} I noticed most everything was gone from my bar at the top of the page. It has a line with home and stop and reload current page and my Amazon button from yesterday. No bookmarks and no tools. One line has most visited, getting started, latest headlines, real player, suggested sites, web slice gallery, and free hotmail. Okay, I found my bookmarks. I was in the shortcuts page and there was my answer. Perhaps I can find the rest that way? We'll see.

In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).
