There exists a problem, or at least I think it is, that I have with the New Tab page. If I have a website I visit on a daily basis like Discord and Twitch, and want to get rid of it from my New Tab page by clicking on the "Delete from History" button, I expect it to disappear within a single click although it doesn't happen in that way. Instead, I need to repeat the process by many tens of times just for it to be gone, and it frustrates me. Looking for alternatives that I don't fundamentally understand, mainly found in the settings, also don't do any good.

So what's the issue? My best solution is just to keep on what I was doing until it's gone.

Is the URL still the same as it is possible that the URL gets replaced by another that differs slightly with GET data appended (?xxx=xxx) ? You can possibly check this via the search bar in the History sidebar and start removing characters at the right end.

That might be a yes even though I'm not sure what you entirely mean here, but I thought of checking the URL every time I clicked "Delete form History" and/or "Dismiss," it changes (For example: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1408443/edit/1571299). From what I think, Firefox might be getting rid of a specific URL off that website, like throwing away garbage one by one instead of the whole thing or bigger chunks of it. Furthermore, it could be the amount of pages that either I visit or where Firefox arbitrarily saves it.

I also should've note that I lack experience when it comes to asking technical support.
