On MacOS, latest version of Big Sur, and latest Firefox and Firefox Nightly (tested both), media controls are not working as intended. I have media controls enabled in the options:config, and every other browser I have (Safari, Chrome) work perfectly fine. I tested on a few sites such as Youtube, Youtube Music, etc. The only information Firefox passes to the OS's media center (now playing in the menu bar) is the name of the video, but not the time / current time / album art. I really rely on this for controlling my music, so any help would be appreciated =)

Hi Zoey,

By time/current time, do you mean the track progress? I have filed a request for the artwork here since I've been wondering about the same thing myself.

Hi Kiki,

For some reason when I click your link it just takes me back to this post - but yeah, I do mean the track progress. Track progress does not work properly (doesn't update and trying to slide the slider doesn't do much), and the artwork isn't correct. Song title and author seem to work, though!

Here's a quick comparison for me between how it looks in Chrome, and how it looks in Firefox: https://imgur.com/a/vKqKUhv

Many thanks.

Oopsie, I was meant to tell you about this bug. I can't recall this work before (but then again, I just discover this pretty recently too), so I don't know if this is a bug or an improvement request. Either way, let's hope this can be fixed soon.
