Is there a way to assign a name or alias to websites listed in the Logins & Passwords manager? I'm helping my dad set up an account for billpay for company A who uses Company B to provide the payment functionality. The problem is Company B's URL has no reference to Company A at all and that's where the login and pw are configured. My dad won't know to look for Company B's URL in Logins & Passwords. Heck, it took me awhile to figure out the credentials were saved under Company B; I kept searching for Company A. It would make life much easier if I could alias company B's URL or add a keyword to it. Thanks for any assistance.

This is a good idea, but I don't see any way to do it.

Usually when the cursor enters a user name field, if there is a matching login saved, Firefox will either autofill it or drop down a list of suggestions. If that works as designed, it shouldn't be necessary to look up the login.

In my own case, a vendor launched a support portal where another site is framed under their URL. This was extremely puzzling to Firefox. I ended up creating an entry for that login manually, and now it works smoothly as described earlier. Hopefully neither you nor your Dad will encounter anything that convoluted.

If autofill is enabled and isn't working for a saved login then you should be able to use "Fill Login" and "Fill Password" in the right-click context menu of username and password fields on the web page.

The "Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security: Logins and Passwords" section has a checkbox to enable/disable auto-fill (Autofill logins and passwords)
