I have had this issue ever since updating Windows 10 to Redstone 5 a few months ago. Whenever I try to make Youtube or other internet videos fullscreen there is a border of about 5 - 10 pixels at the left, right and bottom. I can see my desktop underneath the window. I have had numerous driver updates, Windows updates and Firefox updates. I have cleared the cache / cookies.

Weird thing is it will work the first time I open a video in the browser. So with a fresh browser, I can open Youtube video fullscreen and it will entirely fill the screen but after minimising /ending the video, the next video will not cover the entire screen.

This doesn't happen in Edge, that plays videos fine.

Any advice?

So what site is the video coming from? Also this sounds like a resolution issue as well since it doesn't fill the screen.

Most sites that play video but mainly Youtube as that is the site I use the most. I cannot see how it can be a resolution issue, the browser fills the screen. Video played locally like an .mp4 fills the screen. The initial video I play in Firefox fills the screen.

edit : just did a bit of testing. It seems I can play a video and go back and forth from fullscreen with no issues. If I am playing a video and leave fullscreen then open another browser window, the video in the original window will have the described issue when I try to go back to fullscreen.
